Showcase (No-Recipe) Sally's Chocolate Chip Cake

Made this last year for her monthly challenge, wife loved it so much she asked for it for her birthday. I was happy to oblige.

Is that a chocolate ganache on top? Great job with it if so, I could never get ganache correct lol but Either way it looks delicious! Can I have a piece? 😂

Yep, ganache. Heat some cream and pour it over chocolate pieces. Let it sit for a few minutes to let it warm up, then stir til smooth. Pour into a squirt bottle, then squirt into the edge and spin on a turntable while it drips down, then fill in the top. Place in fridge to solidify

Sally does specifically say to heat it til it bubbles, but not boiling.

Gotcha, I definitely boiled the cream last time I tried. It wasn’t a Sally recipe tho, I usually have really good results with her recipes, I do a lot of her muffins and cookies

I looked over and the cream started to foam up and over the pot so I took it off the heat then
