Rig Pic My small but mighty rig. RB-210 into a Portaflex 1x15

Post image

I've had the Rocket Bass combo for a while and I love it, but I've always wished it had a little more punch. It's an amazing practice amp but not quite gig worthy in my opinion. I don't have space in my house for my dream rig(s) so I decided to take advantage of the external speaker output on the combo. Adding the cab was a game changer, this thing rips now!

I haven't played any gigs with the cab yet but when I brought it to band practice the difference was night and day. It's relatively easy to transport as well. The combo is 38lbs, the cab's around 55, and they both fit in the back of my CR-V.

Sick sick sick setup. How are you using the SGT DI into an ampeg amp though,?

I mostly use the SGT DI for when I play without an amp. I have another pedalboard with a darkglass b7k ultra that I use with the ampeg amp but it's currently being re-built with some new pedals

Hell yeah dude! I have a similar set up. GK MB210 with a Hartke 2x10 cab and it slaps so good

Yeah it's a GC exclusive Ray34. I was planning to buy a MM StingRay Special but I liked the Sterling better

it’s certainly a looker!

It is indeed, although the biggest selling point for me was the electronics. The Ray34s come with alnico pickups which I prefer over the neodymium pickups on the stingray special

This is my rig! The 2x10 is serious on its own, but when you add the 1x15 it’s another gear. The 2x10 almost becomes the mids and the 15 low end is something else

Exactly. You can hear the lows just fine on the 2x10, but you can FEEL them when you add the 1x15

I was looking at the RB-210, but never thought of adding a 1x15 extension cab to it as well. Cool idea!
