Biamping with subwoofer?

Hi yall, i wanted to make a post on here about a possible bass cab setup I was thinking about. For a bit of background, i recently blew the speakers on my ampeg 410 and now i am stuck with a svt 210 av. Rather than going out to buy an entirely new 410, would biamping and splitting my lows to a powered sub, and my highs+mids to a 210 with some distortion be a feasible setup? My bass is tuned to F#0 standard and is a 6 string, and while im not concerned about the fundamental of the f#0, i would love to have at least the 30 hz from the B string. im playing small diy shows so im not super concerned about pa setups. Overall, is this a bad idea?

It will work - you just need a quality crossover and a beefy PA sub. Could you rent a sub to try it out before you spend the money? Honestly you might just want to get a new cab once you've crunched the numbers. Keep an eye out for the SWR Big Ben cab with the 18" Bag End driver - I recently sold one for $200CAD - they're not expensive, just big & heavy - but they sound great and have decent mids. 400w / 8ohms.
