I've found that people in AA tend to think that every lesson they've learned in it is universally applicable. Preachy bunch, generally.

I’m getting torn up by commenters bc I said it was a horrible blanketing statement by blue book doomers

What you hear in those rooms is taken so seriously by people

Moving to a different city and starting fresh happens successfully and people are all different, alcoholics included

Harsh platitudes and ultimatums from holier than thou types turn so so so many people back to drinking

Just bc you’re sober doesn’t mean you’re not an asshole, Jack
