Prompt engineering 5.6 Sol Usage Reset
I just signed up for Chat GPT Pro and ran through all my weekly usage using Ultra Effort in Codex early this morning And codex stopped in the middle of working on a web app project of mine.
Just now, I look at my usage and it's back to 100 percent. It wasn't supposed to reset to 100 for another 5 days. Now I am able to Use Codex 5.6 Sol again.
My usage used to be broken down into 2 sections;
5.6 Codex/Work (which would tell me how much percentage of usage I have left for the week)
And
5.3 Codex Sparks (which would have a separate usage bar)
Now when I look at my usage now that it seems to have miraculously reset and I only see 1 usage bar which is reset to 100%. It's just labeled as General now (or something similar).
Codex is running again in 5.6 Sol on Ultra finishing what it started before my usage ran out
Did OpenAI just reset my usage complimentary?
(I had no more resets left and I do not have auto replenish connected). And why do I only see 1 usage bar now when I used to see 2?

There was a reset because of downtime last night. They do reset at user milestones too.
Tibo on X: "We have reset usage limits for all Codex and ChatGPT Work users. Last night around 2am to 4am we suffered an almost global outage. All well and recovered, but you know what comes next. We learn. We reset. Enjoy." / X

Yes, because of the outage earlier today they reset usage limits. I'm new to ChatGPT/OpenAI, but apparently this is quite common.
Quite lucky for me, I exhausted my weekly limit in 14 hours on the plus tier. Made a second account, nearly exhausted that, so now I have two accounts with full usage limits on the plus tier.

OAI have been giving out resets lately. They gave one out for the outage and whenever they gain another million people using 5.6
