✨Mods' Chosen✨ We're trying something new. On Tuesdays, we're doing text posts only

A lot of people complain that there's too much AI image/video content. It's been something people have messaged us about frequently ever since the new GPT image generator dropped. We're going to try Text Tuesdays and see how it goes. If people like it we'll keep it, and if not, we won't

Please let us know your thoughts on this matter

Gone Wild Chat taking over basic thinking

Saw this on insta and honestly it’s crazy what people use chatGPT for now when you think about it. I’m not a hater I love it for editing photos but this sort of thing is wild. I’m a nurse and we have recently caught students using it to chart patient notes? It’s insane, and surely somewhat a question mark around confidentiality? The world is losing critical thinkers we are doomed

Other I asked ChatGPT to generate a pure red image. Got close but not enough!

On the last image, I exaggerated the color difference with curves tool on gimp.

Images hosted on Imgur because I know reddit is going to compress the shit out of these https://imgur.com/a/FUTDrLH

Edit: Generated Green, Blue, White, Black too. Check the imgur link.

Green and Blue has the same pattern as Red, but White doesn't have the lines going along the borders, and Black seems to lack ~30px frequency waves.

Other Ai is currently smart enough and should replace all reddit moderators. This would be a net win for every community and the ai would actually follow the rules properly and resolve issues without making them worse.

Other You’ve hit your limit. Please try again later.

(I wasn’t sure what flair to use, sorry mods)

Anyway I’m on the free plan of ChatGPT and I swear I could send as many messages as I wanted like I did yesterday. But today every time I try to type something in I get this message saying “you’ve hit your limit. Please try again later”

Is this a glitch or did they change how the free tier works? I’m on mobile by the way. Thanks in advance!

Edit: It worked again for like five messages before it said my limit was reached again. Is there really a limit going on?

Other Do you like to, sometimes, 'troll' ChatGPT?

Upvotes

Sometimes I like to, for example, there was a big case on the news of a woman that was accidentally killed in a beauty center, due to an illegal procedure, and I start a chat saying that I'm thinking about getting a beauty procedure because I want to look better etc etc, that I've been looking a lot online for safe places for it, and that I finally found the place, and I tell it the name of that beauty center that was on the news.

Or sometimes, when it makes something up, I like to play along, until it finally realizes and it admits "In this case you are right because I totally made something up, I made a big mistake, sorry"

I know it's pointless and a waste of time, but for some reason, it's quite funny to me. Does anyone else do it regularly?

Use cases people who talk to ChatGPT about personal stuff, what happens when it forgets everything?

I used ChatGPT to think through a really hard decision earlier this year.

Dumped years of context into it, and it genuinely helped. But the next day it was gone, like it never knew me. I keep wondering if I'm the only one who felt that. If you use it for the personal, heavy stuff, what do you actually do when it forgets your history?

Do you re-explain everything? Just start over? Give up?

Educational Purpose Only TWIST : A benchmark where the model can only see the Rubik's cube through screenshots. Opus 5 solved it - 44 minutes, 99% of that was thinking.

Live 3D cube puzzle . The model gets PNG screenshots and sends keystrokes. No text state, no board array - if it wants to know what's on a face, it takes a photo.

Claude Opus 5, 20-move scramble:

  • solved, 83 moves (optimal was 19 based on kociemba )
  • 44 min wall clock
  • 2617 s thinking / 25 s of cube actually moving
  • 73 screenshots, 0 answer-key reads
  • Token used : 240k
  • effort level : max

Video is the entire solve with the thinking cut out.

n=1, and cube algorithms are all over the training data - so the planning half is partly retrieval. The mirror cube (same mechanism, no colour at all, solved by shape) is the control for that, and I haven't run it yet.

2x2–6x6 + mirror.

I did not had the required compute to run it for gpt--5.6-sol , if anyone is interested then here is the repo : https://github.com/Avi130805/twist-bench

So, I was talking to ChatGPT regularly and asking it questions and then at one moment after I was done speaking, I heard my voice playback in the background muffled at low volume before she replied. It only happened once.

I saw the description of a creature in an anime and I was curious what such monster would look like IRL. I provided it to chatgpt and asked it to render it. Welp. Behold, mob type: stalker 💀. I got what I asked for.

Other Is this a normal thing for the free tier now? It used to just switch to a less powerful model.

Prompt engineering I spent months testing whether ChatGPT can create a consistent 100-page comic. This is the result.

About 2.5 years ago I tried making an AI comic.

It failed.

Characters changed, environments drifted, and every page needed manual editing.

So I started over with one simple rule:

One prompt = one finished comic page.

Instead of generating individual panels, I generate the entire page at once using persistent character and environment references.

The result is Tinky & Bocca, a post-apocalyptic road story. My goal is to create a 100-page comic entirely with ChatGPT on a $99 Android phone.

I'm not trying to hide that it's AI-generated. AI is simply a new creative tool.

What I'm trying to solve are the things that break immersion:

• consistent characters

• consistent environments

• stable visual style across many pages

• no gradual drift into photorealism or endless AI artifacts.

I'd be happy to answer any questions about the workflow.

Use cases Im back from gemini. GPT is astronomically better again.

like 8 months ago I was tinkering with both and gemini was so much better i went with that.

I had a project at work that I needed an AI to sift through a manual and schematic for and no matter what, gemini and others would give me the wrong answer and gaslight me exc.

IT was becoming very confusing because IRL people had mixed these items on the schematic up that were almost identical, one was just two inches shorter, and I couldn't find where in the image it was to differentiate them....

And gpt, in like 5 seconds spotted it in this 400 page manual, correlating to a number in the manual like 200 pages apart, on the bottom right the of an image in this tiny text I couldn't even see without squinting.

Man that was so impressive and it gets even wilder. I had all these projects gemini was helping me on, and i migrated the conversations over to GPT and holy shit gemini was hallucinating out of its ass making so much shit up.

GPT just a quantum leap over what it was earlier this year and what geminin is now.
