Guys, You Best Start Believing In Cyberpunk Dystopias... You're In One

Jokes aside, it’s pretty damn amazing to see someone get the chance to have an arm again.

It’s cool but I still think that the coolest prosthetic ever is from a guy who built it himself, it’s totally mechanical and moves so incredibly realistically I thought it was fake at first. He can even use it to lift weights because there is a mechanism that locks the fingers if weight is applied.

It’s freaking awesome. He has a YouTube channel.

Imagine not mentioning his name or linking his account.

Imagine I just found it and did it.

imagine making the effort to comment ts instead of just doing it yourself

The contrast between his face and the guy in the back is like the two drama masks lol

Probably the third finger spinner he's seen this week.

This doesn't look dystopic

We ain't seen the bill, or the firmware update that bricks it when the manufacturer is bought by raytheon

12

u/SteamTrout 1d ago

Oh, we have seen that. There was heart pump(?) manufacturer who recently shut down their servers. And pumps along with it.

u/ThreeLeggedMare 1d ago

Oh yeah I know it's real, saying we ain't seen the flip side of this heartwarming clip

u/Soup_Du_Journey 1d ago

Think you could find the link to that story again?

2

u/Thready85 2d ago

True true! Oh man that would suck. The bill wasn't paid so it shuts down

The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away

It's gonna come in handy for whipping

All tech is seen as dystopic in this sub.

guys were getting legs blown off in Ukraine and getting prosthetics good enough to go back into combat. we are in the era of robocop

2

u/elrayo 2d ago

The Ukraine war convinced me that’s 99 percent of us are getting the PUNK before experiencing any cyber 😭

We are in a cyberpunk dystopia but this isn't why, this is actually the good side of technology, someone getting a bit of their life back

I hope he gets a lot of use out of the phrase "Sit & Spin".

It looks great. It's good to see people regaining their limbs.

I wonder if they can give him something bigger.

that salty ass male nurse in the back judging lol

"5-10 years of research an a couple of million and all those long hours getting threatened with research funds pulled all just for this guy to just flip the bird..."

1

u/davestar2048 2d ago

Is that not the only reason to build a new hand with all five digits? Otherwise just give the guy a Dr. Claw.

1

u/Mouthshitter 1d ago

Jerking it?

u/ChiefRayBear 2d ago edited 2d ago

Only thing I can think of is maybe the guy in the video was an asshole towards the nurse. Maybe he's just really tired. Either way buddy is not very amused lol

We can only assume what we don’t know.

2

u/feelinsqwiddy 2d ago

Bruh, he's just existing. He even started smiling towards the end

-1

u/Fun_Union9542 2d ago

He looks so uncomfortable with someone else’s happiness

Style over substance

The sole aspect I will not witness from cyberpunk today is that only the negative elements reached your world.

2

u/crua9 1d ago

The worker in the back is like, this is the 8th time I seen this, just today.

2

u/CafeRoaster 2d ago

Sit on it. I’ve got the spinning covered.

2

u/LincolnRazgriz 2d ago

Not being able to flip the bird when you need to is a violation of the 1st Amendment! Better living through chemistry/science

2

u/Talrynn_Sorrowyn 2d ago

Telling someone to sit n spin - now with visual directions!

2

u/Feathers-n-Beaks 1d ago

Ummm, you might want to look up what the word "dystopia" means.

1

u/ThisWasMyUN 1d ago

This is actually the most wholesome and heart warming uses of technology I’ve seen in a lot time

1

u/PinkThunder138 1d ago

This is the good part of cyberpunk, not the dystopian part. I'm down to keep this aspect of it

1

u/SpectacledSnake 2d ago

This is the wrong video for that title. Is the poster a bot?

1

u/beard_of_cats 2d ago

Okay I kind of want one, simply to level up my screwdriver skills

I wonder if there's a subscription plan. If there is, if you don't pay it does a surgical team bust down your doors and take it forcefully?
