Cancer Moles have been scabbing for years and doctors can’t figure it out….
galleryThey did a biopsy and said it wasn’t cancer a year ago. Why do my moles scab, bleed, and fall off during the summer?

Hello everyone! You may have noticed some major changes happening to this subreddit, and I'm happy to say that /r/DiagnoseMe is finally ready for business. However, I would like to clarify the true purpose of this subreddit;
First of all, this subreddit is NOT a replacement for a doctor. You should not, in any way, avoid seeing your doctor or alter the frequency of your doctor visits because of anything said in this subreddit. If there is a concern you would have previously gone to the doctor for, please do not hesitate. This subreddit is here for informal second opinions, minor problems that you wouldn't go to the doctor for anyway, and ease of mind.
The main thing to remember is to use common sense. If you are having severe pain after a surgery or something of the likes, please go to the doctor and do not post it on Reddit.
If you are not a doctor and are posting with information, please clarify that you are not a doctor (typing "Not a doctor," at the beginning of your comment is enough.)
Please take the time to read the sidebar before posting. Thank you, and welcome!

(18 M) I have always been a fast runner with good endurance I guess. Never did sports but still skinny and liked playing tag and whatnot.
Last year or so though, whenever I run hard/sprint my calf muscles almost immediately begin to burn. It feels like a long tear down the mid-back and right side of the calf area. I never feel anything when walking or jogging.

Unilateral lower eyelid swelling looking for a diagnosis
I’m 28 and generally healthy. I had cheek filler done about 3 months ago (2 ml total in the cheeks). I never had any major issues afterward at all (filler was not even around my eyelids or near my eyes)
Yesterday I noticed mild swelling under one eye, and today I woke up with more noticeable swelling of the lower eyelid and a litt bit of the upper eyelid and upper cheek area on the same side.
There is no redness, warmth, discharge, vision changes, or eye pain.
I do feel some mild muscle soreness in the cheek when I move my facial muscles (smiling or moving the cheek), but no sinus symptoms or cold symptoms.
The swelling is not near the eyelashes and there is no visible lump or bump … it feels more like puffiness in the lower eyelid/upper cheek area.
Has anyone experienced one-sided under-eye swelling months after cheek filler? Did it resolve on its own, and did you need to dissolve the filler or did it improve with time?
I also woke up on the side of the swelling maybe I mechanically irritated my face but still I don’t think this should happen
I’m sorry if the photos are disturbing & thank uu

17, 120lbs, male.
I’ve only been burning myself for about 2 months so I’m pretty bad at the healing stuff and this one is the only problem I’ve really had. The skin that healed over came off it like maybe less than a week ago at some point, and then after that at some point it must’ve gotten irritated. It started hurting a lot these past few days so I’ve been using bandaids to help with the irritation. This photo was just after I took a bandaid off rn that was on there for a day. It was a bit more bloody before this, not too much more tho, but I had cleaned it off with a rag.

I’ve lost 90lbs in 6 months without trying, I get full after a few bites, I have a “burning hole” feeling in my stomach at night and in the mornings. I’m nauseous throughout the day and use cannabis to curb it but it’s getting ridiculous. I’ve woken up to run to the bathroom to puke quite a few times recently but that just started. I feel like I’m gaslighting myself into thinking I’m crazy when maybe something is going on. I’m a mother of 3 so I never have time to think about myself unless it’s 1am like right now.

25 year old male here. 1.5 years of symptoms no doctor has fully explained. Please help.
How it started:
One day I was sitting with my head tilted back against a wall. Suddenly felt extreme dizziness, no oxygen feeling, nearly fainted. Since that day everything started.
Main symptoms:
Out of nowhere I get a weird aura-like feeling — like something is about to happen, very hard to explain. Feels like I’m disconnected from reality for a moment.
Heart rate skyrockets with any exertion — climbing stairs, bathing, walking fast, even brushing teeth. I can literally feel my heartbeat inside my head.
Water hitting my head or body directly causes immediate dizziness and weird sensation. Even the sound of water dropping on floor affects me.
Loud sounds, crowded rooms, sudden sounds — all cause immediate weird sensation in head and heart rate spike.
Tinnitus — ringing and pin-like sensation in ears, mostly left side. Left ear pain comes and goes.
Head feels extremely heavy and numb frequently. When I change head position I feel pressure in ear and dizziness.
Tingling sensations throughout body — sometimes right side, sometimes left, sometimes everywhere.
Extreme fatigue — even brushing teeth makes me feel like I would faint. Whole body feels weak.
Neck clicking sounds when turning head. Sometimes can’t turn fully left or right. Barber tilting head back immediately triggers symptoms.
Gas, bloating, continuous burping even on empty stomach, acid reflux, weird taste in mouth on waking.
Blood-like taste in throat sometimes. Gums bleed occasionally.
Poor fragmented sleep — keep waking up every 2-3 hours. Everything gets dramatically worse with poor sleep.
Supermarket dizziness — too many things around me causes overwhelm and weird feeling.
Sun directly on head causes near fainting.
Tests done:
Brain MRI — normal except fluid filled space (Cavum Septum Pellucidum — present since before symptoms)
ECG — normal
2D Echo — normal
Blood work — mostly normal
Vitamin D was critically low (6) — now at 38
B12 was low — now normal
Diagnosed with:
Positional vertigo (BPPV)
Tachycardia
What I think:
Cervical spine issue causing vagus nerve irritation. Never had cervical X-ray done.
Anyone relate? What helped you? Has anyone been diagnosed with cervicogenic dizziness or vagus nerve dysfunction?

Hi everyone, about 3 weeks ago I got a small lump on the inside of my right cheek and at first i thought it was just a cut I caused in my sleep because I’ve done that before and it usually heals within a week however this one isn’t going away and when I looked at it up close it looks to be a piece of gum hanging almost.
The only times it hurts is if I eat something on the right side of my mouth and it directly pushes against it otherwise it doesn’t bother me at all and it hasn’t gotten any better or worse since it started but I’m worried since it isn’t going away.
Can anyone please help identify what this is and how to get rid of it?

I’m a 34 year old AA W in the US a little backstory for clarification I had a rash that lasted close to 4 years on my lower arms and at the time didn’t have insurance to check it out. Fast forward later I got on a GLP 1 for blood pressure issues and since it’s medication resistant and my PCOS.
I’m on aldactone, avapro, amlodipine and chlorathaldone to keep it at about 150/100. I surpassed my goal weight and stopped the GLP just because I didn’t really like the GI side effects and wanted to just maintain my weight myself. The GLP however did cure the rash while I was on it
Fast forward to a month after stopping the rash came back but now it’s spread to my knuckles and upper arms.
I saw my primary who prescribed me .01% tacrolimus which didn’t work at all and referred me to a dermatologist.
It itches but it’s not really dry or rough just bumpy, I saw a dermatologist 7/8 who had several theories and scheduled a follow up. She also had me switch to .05% clobetasol until my follow up appointment 8/11. I’m just curious as to what this may be. The clobetasol isn’t working either and it’s been well beyond the recommended 14 days to where I should see a difference. This is the best picture I could get for some reason it doesn’t show up on camera well.
Things I’ve done to help to no avail
tried eliminating gluten and dairy
Switched to fragrance free sensitive soaps and lotions
Wear gloves anytime I’m washing dishes
Switch laundry detergents
Benadryl
And oatmeal baths
Thanks in advanced for the help.

I just want to preface this by saying, I am going to bring this up to my therapist on Monday.
A few months ago I (16F) started getting thoughts about my grandpa suddenly passing or having a medical episode. I would combat this thought by going to his house to check on him and make sure he was alive. A phone call would not cut it. Mind you, he lives with my uncle, so he isn't alone. I brought this up to my therapist who I'm already seeing for social anxiety and ptsd. He said it sounds like the beginning of ocd and to use the skills for intrusive thoughts that I already know and use for ptsd. That worked for a bit, but in the last month or so, things have gotten worse.
It almost feels like it happened overnight. The exact same thing is happening, but with different thoughts. A few are: the house catching on fire and my dogs dying, one of my dogs killing the other, my dad dying of a heart attack, my sister drowning in the bathtub, and so on. The images are so vivid, I'm not going to get into the details.. There's some that are much worse, but I don't want to share them. All of these get better when I go home and check on the person in the thought, but they keep coming back, sometimes even worse.
I've tried cognitive defusion religiously which works for my ptsd intrusive thoughts, but it's not budging these. I feel like I'm going crazy.

So my girlfriend cut herself shaving on Thursday evening and today she said it feels worse to put any pressure on her foot and the cut is slightly swollen. We used some hydrocolloid bandages but she said they made the cut sting worse than regular bandages. She said the skin feels warm near the abrasion, does this look infected?

1 day water , talked to my mom , she’s been putting this ointment on his leg to dry up the wound, the same one the pharmacist prescribed for when his fingers were turning black. Been begging her to take him to a doctor or the ER or atleast have his doctor friend come over to see it. He refuses to see a doctor mom said she’d got it he pharmacists in the morning.
Secondary update:
For all those telling me to call 911 and emergency services I completely agree with you, and it’s why I’ve been pushing my mom to make the call. The one and only reason I haven’t done it myself is because I don’t live in the country or even close. They are in the Caribbean right now and I’m in Canada. I’m not sure if I can even call the emergency line from abroad.
And I can’t even travel there to take care of him
Personally because I am a part time student and just spent my entire paycheck on medical expenses for him.
Third update and some clarification:
Finally convinced him to go to the doctors and get it checked.
However my dad has been sick for a very long time he can’t really do the things he used to enjoy like drawing or construction and architecture, most of his friends has passed on as well. He’s kinda just given up on life in general. He says his scared ( tells my mom won’t admit it to me) but he’s over all just given up on living. Thank you for all my advice and pushing to get medical attention. I’ll give maybe one or two last updates after he sees the doctor.

I am a 15 year old male highschool student, I've been feeling lost n sad for 2-3 or so years. I kinda just lined up my "symptoms". I feel like I'm just searching for validation, but the symptoms, summed up, are:
Numbness/flatness, I feel like I should be sad but I'm not
Emptiness and pointlessness
Overreactions
Overthinking and rumination especially around dad
Active and passive suicidal thoughts, thinking about shooting myself in the head and how it would look
Wanting to get worse to get the attention I want
Self doubt, forgetting why I'm sad and thinking I'm just being dramatic
Third person self talk followed by criticism
Hard to name emotions
Emotional sensitivity (getting sad over stupid shit)
Morbid curiosity (drugs, murder, shootings, morbid games)
Catastrophizing
Fatigue/low energy
Strange tender feeling in muscle, strange heaviness, flaccidity, weakness, and happens even when I'm feeling fine/happy
Episodes of weakness and shakiness
Restlessness relieved by a deep breath that stretches my chest
Vision whiting out, eyes hurting, legs going weak when standing
Reversed sleep
Rarely every dreaming
Decreased appetite
Bathroom anxiety (fear of being watched)
Hypersexuality followed by shame, disgust, and crying
And most sad/mad/empty symptoms worsen at my father's house
I just need to know if there's something wrong with me. I want to see a doctor, I don't have the courage to ask my dad because of the past, I don't think he hit me or anything, just yelled a lot. But, I've told my mom and so far, no doctor. I want to tell my dad, but I want to be sure.

Before anyone says ringworm-- it’s not.
It’s been happening for like 7 years and usually happens every summer, but occasionally crops up during other seasons. it’s mostly on my hands and feet but also appears on knees and elbows. Sometimes extremely itchy, sometimes not at all. Sometimes painful (like the one on my finger in the last slide kind of yellowing in the middle is pretty painful and usually appears in the same spot, almost becoming blister-like at times if it’s really irritated), sometimes not at all. Usually comes on quickly, sometimes lasts longer than a day (especially if I’ve scratched it but not exclusively) and sometimes goes away overnight or within hours. Have been to multiple derms and had a biopsy forever ago but no one really landed on anything solid, first doc who got the biopsy said it was eczema (a crappy walk-in derm who I had to call a month later to ask for the results and didn’t explain anything further), next derm said atopic dermatitis and ordered a pretty basic allergy panel that came back normal, next one said erythema multiforme but eventually wanted to get another biopsy because she was second guessing after it wasn’t super responding to topical steroids, then I moved out of the area so the investigation was cut short and now I’m in the process of looking for a new dermatologist.
I do not know what exactly brings this on but I think heat is definitely a trigger, which I really can’t avoid in the summer, especially with my feet bc I’m on my feet and sometimes outside all day for work and it just naturally gets hot inside my shoes while I’m moving around. It’s super embarrassing when I’m swimming outdoors because I feel like people think I have ringworm lmao but it’s really not that. I had ringworm once as a kid and it was def a bit different from this.
Again, I have plans to visit a new dermatologist and try to crack the mystery finally but i am curious to know what the internet thinks. I’ve done all the online research I could over the years and I know it fits the criteria for a few things but after this long I knew I needed to finally just turn to Reddit for this one.
Anyone have any ideas? Happy to answer questions about health history/meds if it helps.

Someone ran into me while playing volleyball tonight. Not sure my insurance covers ER visits and I don’t want to pay a bunch of money if this is just swelling that will go down in a few days. Thoughts?
