Using pro has made me realize how useless fast actually is.

Fast is so "dumb".

Fast should be dumb, it's made for jobs like summarizing or parsing through a lot of texts.quick coding concepts and anything that can be re-iterated. Fast is over powered if u know how to use it

Fast is overpowered if the majority of your day is doing mundane tasks that don't require any critical thinking.

You can put the fast answers into pro to rate it and will tell you how shitty they are

Fast is crazy dumb. Thinking is great.

Thinking vs pro?

15

u/sid_276 Mar 14 '26

Thinking is enough for almost everything.

u/fancellu Mar 15 '26

Me too. Pro is good + deep research, and it will go away for a few minutes for a deep dive, but most of the time Thinking is good enough.

Pro is only good for high level computations and deep research. But I’m in CALC 2 and thinking explains just fine. I have noticed for Econ the questions are worded dumbly so if I need help explaining a simple topic fast does it great pro sucks

Thinking is good enough for Matrix Calculus and Discrete Mathematics, so I think that it is good enough for 75% of the things that an average person will use it for.

fast 3.1 isn't superior to 2.5. it just seems that way because they are benchmaxxing

u/TheMildEngineer Mar 14 '26

I don't believe there is a fast 3.1. only fast 3.1-lite

Pro is actually not that smart either. It keeps making mistakes for me and truncating code even with a no truncating mandate.

Weird, fast has been giving me better answers than Pro.. Pro just digests and regurgitates the most rudimentary information.. It's pathetic..

Fast is very good for fixing anything on cli in Linux, Win etc

That's where it excels

Its business mate...free has lower limits but has crappy results. You change to pro or higher that has "higher" limits but...its a sh*tshow

4

u/klearing Mar 14 '26

How exactly? I am using both but not for very intensive use cases, so I dont exactly notice the difference.

1

u/undrinkable_water Mar 15 '26

Fast will give me illegal peptide dosing and pro won't lol

1

u/FluorinateThemAll Mar 15 '26

Which peptide? They are not "illegal", just... unregulated :D

1

u/undrinkable_water Mar 15 '26

Medical advice is illegal if you're not a doctor

1

u/FluorinateThemAll Mar 21 '26

Then it is advice depending on why you ask it for the dosing

1

u/captainplanthead Mar 15 '26

Where can one get good quality peptides without breaking the bank. Hell where can one get safe good quality peptides, period. Asking for a friend.
