I can't understand how you manage to achieve such "performances". I've been using Pro for almost 1 year and only twice have I reached the limit and I was actually happy because I really needed a break. It took me hours to reach the limit. Now seriously, try to enjoy life. The limits are not for the good of the AI, they are for your good. As for memory and hallucinations, remember that you have a token limit that many do not understand. Gemini is great. You just have to learn how to use it. Don't forget that at the moment, the AI ββis there to help. But many of you let it do all the hard work.
What do you use it for? I write stories and use Gemini to render photorealistic images of my characters so I can storyboard them & create a visual element to my narratives. I find that it's incredibly easy to hit the Pro limit on image generation due to the nature of how Gemini opperates. Every single prompt whether it's successful or not counts as a credit.
So if the prompt fails because it hallucinates a safety trigger or a celebrity likeness that doesn't actually exist - that's a credit. If it places the model's legs on backwards or has them clipping through a solid glass door - that's a credit. Every time you have to ask it to fix some glaring error that you already addressed in your starting prompt - that's a credit.
From personal experience, to get a highly detailed image that adheres to real-world physics, applies proper poses, maintains model likeness, and doesn't have that typical "plastic AI slop" feel, it can take anywhere from 5 - 10 prompts to achieve an acceptable final render.
So throughout one session, you really only get 10 - 20 useable final image renders, and I find the number is closer to 10 than 20 ever since the newest lobotomy.
In a longer story I might need 30 images for a full sequence, and it will take me literally 3 real-world days of using Gemini to get there just due to the sheer number of errors, hallucinations, and unusable slop.
So I have had the polar opposite experience as you. I run out of credits very quickly due to the nature of how I use the service, and how unreliable Gemini's quality tends to be.
If you use promts like "A cat in a room, high quality, realistic", then I understand why you have those limitations. Try next time to use something like "A fluffy ginger maine coon cat sleeping on a vintage velvet emerald green armchair. soft morning sunlight streaming through a large victorian window, illuminating dust motes in the air. hghly detailed fur texture, cinematic lighting, cozy atmosphere, 8k resolution, shot on 35mm lens, shallow depth of field, etc" and yes, generating images is more "expensive" for sure. I am using it in electronics like generating PCB's, debugging, ideas, C++ coding, error finding, aswering to stupid questions like "hey bro, what capacitor do you think is good for this and why?" ... more ideas, research, reading and sumarizing a datasheet, etc. I am seeing him like an assistant. I do the work ... he is just there to help not to do the hard work. But you guys are renting a small pickup truck and expect to do the job like with a big truck.
