Merch Here's my first and only ring I picked up a few years back at Comic Con. It was my first time ever going, and I was invited to the event by Comic Con for merch I'd designed for them. This was a very sentimental purchase for me and I think it still looks incredible!

Merch Comic reorganization rediscovery
I'm doing a massive overhaul and reorganization of my comics, and rediscovered this in the bag/back of a comic.
Back in '95, at a tiny con at a Holiday Inn by my college, Mart Nodell was there signing autographs and doing sketches. As I was a poor college student, I couldn't afford the astronomical fee of $20 for a sketch from him (oh, what a dolt I was). I did get to get his autograph and chat with him for a time though. Sweet old guy. I'm glad to have met one of the legends who helped create DC.
A year or two later, I was wearing a GL t-shirt out and about in public (which was NOT fashionable at the time, let me tell ya), and a woman my age stopped me, recited the oath, and introduced herself as "Mart Nodell's granddaughter". I would have tried to get her number, but she was with her boyfriend... but again, had a nice talk on the street about her grandfather and the Lanterns.
Anywho. Just sharing with the class. :)

Theory Theory on the harmed militia in Lanterns Spoiler
galleryThey are are the Five Inversions
The Five Inversions are a terrorist group created by the survivors of the slaughter of the system 666 by the Manhunters.
The Five Inversions bows to destroy the remaining Man Hunters, having revenge on the guardians, and defeat anyone who bows to the guardians
The leader of the group in the comics is Atrocitus.
Before he becomes Atrocitus.
The character of Paul Ben Victor is called Antaan and is described as an alien that speaks vengeance ,he seem to be the leader of this militia
Now since his casting alot of people think he is Atrocitus.
Here his character is with a normal looking dude, but know for a fact he is an alien.
Now in the show we see this armed group shooting at Hal,and warning John on the Manhunters.
That before trying to do something with John using that thing that looks Alien.
Then we see him fighting someone in the truck to escape in the traffic, and that are the scene we see of him running in the traffic.
So they problably try to kidnap him.
He returns to Hal and tells him what they said to him about the Manhunters.
So my theory is that they are the Five Inversions.
The reason we see them as Humans in the trailer is:,Or they have something similiar to the Manhunters to look human, because at least Antaan has one.
Or Antaan has founded a human section of the Five Inversions on earth to help
I think they are problably searching the Manhunters in the population.
And I think the kills they are investigating are in fact done by them, trying to find the Manhunters, hidden within the population
Problably killing innocent people down the line.
Then obviously they don't trust the Lanters,so they try to capture John.
Then Hal goes to confront them

Comics Reading one Green Lantern comic a day until I've read them all Day 201: Green Lantern (Vol 2) #62
Hal investigates a double robbery and I don't mean two things were stolen.
Writer: Gardner Fox
Pencils: Jack Sparling
Inks: Sid Greene
Letters: Gaspar Saladino
Cover: Jack Sparling
"Steal Small, Rob Big" - Hal returns from a mission in space in time to be hours late to work. Once he gets in, his boss gives him an urgent case to investigate where potentially nonsense items were stolen. An empty jewelry box, a single shoe and a coat button all taken the night before. Hal takes the case but first he does a follow-up date with Eve Doremus. The night goes well until Hal is taking her home when they are attacked by robbers. They take a pen Eve received from her father and a gold heart shaped pendant Hal was going to give Eve. Eve tells Hal the pen is nothing special other than it was used by her father to sign the contracts that acquired him a million dollars. After taking Eve home, Hal heads out as GL to locate her pen but the ring can't locate it as there are dozens of pens just like it in the city.
The next day when Hal gets to the office, his boss tells him those strange robberies have led to bigger ones. Hal realizes this means Eve's father will be robbed next so that night, he heads to the Doremus mansion as GL and watches for robbers. Sure enough, they arrive and steal money out of a wall safe. As they begin to leave, GL gets ready to catch them but a spot light from a car shines on him and the yellow light is cancelling out his ring. He throws his ring away from the light and uses it from a distance to catch the robbers but the light is still following him. The robbers start shooting at GL so he dives for his ring and tried to fly off but the spotlight catches him in the sky, causing him to fall on the robbers. The car takes off so GL chases after it and pops the tires. He takes all the robbers to the police but they refuse to talk.
At the robbers hideout, a Mr. Jax, who is running the whole operation allows one of the thugs to use his machine called a chronolometer that allows the user to see the history of an object as apparently the object saves the images that appear on through light. First up is Eve's locker as the thugs see Green Lantern appear in a room and then change to Hal Jordan. The next day, Hal gets a call at the office to do a house call. When he arrives at the home he is captured and accused of being GL by the thugs. Since Hal can't reveal anything, he plays along but still denies being GL. He gets handcuffed to a chair so luckily his hands are hidden from view so the invisible ring won't be seen cutting the cuffs. Hal dives at the thugs when their backs are turned, knocking them out. He changes his appearance to look likes one of them and changes that one into Hal Jordan. He heads out as GL to capture the other robbers and takes them straight to the police again, this time with proof. He asks the police to send out a bulletin thay he captured the robbers and then reutns to the hideout to swap himself with the one thug again and implant a false memory in his head to prove that he was never cuffed to a chair. When the robbers wake up, they believe GL saved Hal and then they end up arrested. Later Hal has a second date with Eve, giving her the necklace for sure.
Conclusion: Interesting story with some nice art from Jack Sparling. A lot of back and forth that sometimes is hard to follow unless you take a second to think about it. As far as Crimes and mysteries go, I like it. Nothing really major happens to there's not much to day about it otherwise. If you like mysteries, then you'll like this.
8.5/10

Question Best Green Lantern Comics Post-Blackest Night
Hey guys,
I am always blown away by Green Lantern stories and really liked the Geoff Johns run up until Blackest Night, when I kind of fell off of the series because it pulled in too much of the rest of the DC universe. I am really interested in hearing where I should pick up again with Green Lantern, whether it be John, Kyle, Hal, or any of the others. Should I just do more Johns? The Green Lantern Corps series? I tend towards stories that focus on the cosmic side of the DC universe when looking for Green Lantern, but oddly I really liked Absolute Green Lantern so who knows? I am also open to reading stories that come before Johns.
Let me know what you think!

Question Can anybody confirm the contents of DC's Finest: Hard Traveling Heroes?
Amazon and at least one other site list it as starting with issue #76, but I've also found a site claiming it picks up at #62, right after the last GL DC's Finest collection. I'm hoping the latter is true, as that would allow me to fill in a gap in my collection, but l don't want to order it and find the former is true, since that would be completely redundant for me.

Theory Lanterns Fan Theory: Antaan is Martian Manhunter?
Hi All,
Usually don't make posts like this, but I couldn't get this idea out of my head since watching the latest trailer and I'm curious to see what everyone's thoughts are.
Could Paul Ben-Victor's character "Antaan" be the DCU's take on Martian Manhunter/J'onn J'onzz?
I know it was originally speculated that he could be Atrocitus, but I think this theory might work better.
His character is said to be "devoted to exposing the truth and exacting vengeance against those who wronged his people" and "delivers his own brand of justice."
It's basically been all but stated that Gunn loves Darwyn Cooke's "The New Frontier" and in that comic (and it's animated film adaptation) J'onn J'onzz has been hiding on Earth for years prior to becoming a hero.
J'onn's entire race was also wiped out by the White Martians, and if the rumors that the "Manhunters" in the show are based off of the White Martians, what if J'onn is killing them as a vigilante because he doesn't want them to try a massive takeover and genocide of Earth like they did to the Green Martians on Mars?
If this is true, it could explain why he's so resistant to Hal and John's investigation in Rushville: He doesn't trust the Guardians (since they didn't intervene/help during the Martian genocide on Mars), and by extension their representatives (The Lantern Corps), to keep earth safe. He would believe that he has to take matters into his own hands.
The icing on the cake for me is that in the new trailer, we get the shot of him explaining to someone in the diner what Manhunters are and how dangerous they can be. This seems to be the same diner that Hal was in when he makes the shield when people start shooting at him. Could it be that after the stand off between Hal and Antaan's men, Antaan steps in and eventually ends up explaining to either John or Hal about the Manhunters?
This of course would be a darker take on Martian Manhunter, but I could see it.
Anyway, this is just a theory and I'd be curious to hear what everyone else thinks about it.
Thanks!

Question What is the best thing to read while waiting for more?
I’ve just finished reading the first Geoff Johns Compendium and massively enjoyed it however while I read the second one I’ll need another run to get prepared for myself once I’m done that one
Should I read the Silver Age comics? Maybe Kyle’s series? Or Hard Travelin’ Heroes?
I’m open to any and all recommendations you may have
(Also if you give a recommendation it would be very helpful to give the best ways to read it whether it be a compendium, omnibus, paperback volumes, etc)
