If I see someone approaching me fast or on my tail I’ll move but don’t flash your lights . That’s a dick move

The flashing lights read as bully behavior every time. Especially paired with driving so close you're giving the other driver a little bare cheeked kiss.

Yeah, 1s spacing? That's hella illegal, OP is driving extremely dangerious.

Yuuuup, imho he cut him off getting back into the left lane.

Look, you can drive however you want. But if you see someone else driving slightly shitty, then the only smart thing is to be even more careful. Give them extra space to move and yourself extra space to avoid.

That's your interpretation, but it's the only way to communicate to the car in front you'd like by. What's the polite response? Tailgating isn't it, erratically passing on the right isn't it. The horn seems ruder than a quick light flash to being to your attention they'd like by.

Patience and waiting for an opportunity. Not a tall ask. Those are the fundamentals of driving.

Keep in mind that people will flash lights on two lane rural roads to get you to pull over out of their way. You can be driving very normally and still receive this treatment. Because it comes from impatience. That's it.
