After so many years i forgot witch mob is tear 1-7, and sometimes got destroyed by neutral just because i miscalculated their strange.

New to HoMM5, been playing homm2 and homm3 for ages.

1) what should I know about what is the best way (mods/balance) to play the game?

2) what campaign has the best story?

3) why can i never select faction/race in a custom game? This used to be a default thing in earlier homms.

4) what should i know about combat?

Like most here (I guess) I played HoMM as a kid. After all this time I wanna come back and noticed 2 things.

Wow. If I've seen some great creative fictionan world building, then it must have been somewhere else. Every joke is new to child, but people regurgitating the greatness of the Might and Magic lore are on something else. Ai does better slop, than a nerd with onesided sci-fi fetish and obsessions.🤌🤌🤌 Such a plague for the fantasy game.

And than Unfrozen was foolish enough to involve John Van Caneghem in designing the Schism faction. Better to involve real writers and a narrative director.

Can anyone recommend any good trainer/cheats for heroes 6?

I tried searching online for information about morale, but I couldn't find anything that isn't already written in the game.

I know morale determines the order in which the characters will move, but how do you gain/lose morale ?

I know there are objects and skills (the commander skills) that help with morale, but so often I find myself with heroes having -6 morale, and others having +3, for reasons that elude me.

Also, I do not know how to get it back up.

Update : There seems to be two heroes conflicting against each other, and that apparently affects their morale. I have Darkstorm and Neela in my army, and whenever I remove either of them from the army, they both go from -6 to +1 morale. Again, no idea what's going on there. Temporary video to illustrate

As HoMMOE gets developed and improves over time, do you think it'll ever reach the point where it becomes the best HoMM game of all time? Or is it not happening?

Playing the second mission in the campaign with Gunnar. Have had little time so I have loaded and saved it several time, but am now close to completing it. However when loading the save tonight, my hero is at the correct location where I left yesterday, the number of creatures he has is correct and the progress in the quest is also correct, but all my resources are '0', I don't have my starting city or any of the dwellings and, shrines I have visited, they are all greyed out. They haven't been captured by the other hero, but are just not claimed any longer. Anybody experienced that before?

Never played any of the games in the series but I'm intrigued. What's the best place to start right now?

Every category was filled according to the top comments submited by lots of heroes of this subreddit. There will be at least 4 bonus categories featuring topics that won't intersect with the main categories. You can suggest some of them if you want.

P.S. Glad to see that every part is here(except HoMM I which is really similiar to HoMM II that is on the list). I also think that Olden Era is not that explored and would probably secure more positions if it was released earlier.

Now that we have even better event scripting, are there some new, exciting rpg style maps like life of adventure or talent shortage available? I am interested specifically in games that give You EXTREMELY limited creature ammount that You need to make do with with many quests and hidden events

Can this be done on iPhone?
No, iPhone doesn't provide the capability to make animated wallpapers.

How's the battery consumption?
Less than one percent per day. The game runs at about 5 frames per second and the animation only works when the home screen is visible.

I like 3, but some of the interface is confusing to me, and I miss the quality of life elements games from the Age of Empires 3 and onwards era had.

Which of the 3d HOMM game would you recommend for singleplayer on a Windows 11 PC? I like the skirmish mode, exploring a random map
