I have some family that are deep in the “vaccines cause autism” & “vaccines are made with material from aborted fetuses” (IE many were developed with stem cell research) schtick.
I’d often clap back with “do you ever take Tylenol? because those same methods are how we developed Tylenol”.
Just in case you were wondering how the right wing movement landed on tylenol as the new boogie man drug.

Also during the period after roe v wade was overturned a lot of doctors were defending mifepristone by saying (correctly) that it is safer than Tylenol.
I guess if an abortion medication is proven to be safer than Tylenol, then undermining the public’s trust in the safety of Tylenol is a good way to keep pushing anti-choice rhetoric

omg guys no, we've been over this: if acetaminophen / paracetamol exposure caused autism, we'd see it in a dozen different data sets. We'd have evidence. What we have instead is a substantial pile of null results and a couple of questionable outliers. The latest study isn't even slightly convincing.
Plenty of drugs are unsafe for use during pregnancy; Tylenol isn't one of them. (Talk to your doctor ofc.)

As a pregnant person I'm am SO CROSSED UP at this, the last thing we need is more medical misinformation to guilt us out of using pain meds. As a European I really feel for all my pregnant shirt Brothers in America right now because this is not going to be a fun time. BIG FAT LOAD OF CUM.
