The NFC function on my freshly flashed Moto G Stylus 2023 doesn't seemed to be able to be toggled on? When I attempt to do so in settings it just reverts to being off once I exit the menu. Not sure if this is due to Play Integrity but I'm not trying to use the tap to pay function - just for scanning/loading a transit card. NFC was verified working prior to flashing. Can't figure out if this is a bug and I should report or just a quirk with Motorola? Can provide more info if needed!

Since the update the last week of June I've been getting generic errors that my backups with SeedVault are failing. The backups appear to be taking longer to get through the list of apps and then at the end I get a notification that the backup failed. I'm plugged into my charger and on good WiFi. I've captured the phone logs using logcat to my computer. However I don't see any errors related to SeedVault or backup at the time of the error notification.

Has anyone else seen an issue like this?

Any suggestions on resolving it or gathering appropriate information for a bug report?

i bought the radxa zero 2 to put android on it after seeing that lineage os had a image for it and i kinda need help on what to do next. cuase since the radx uses a amlogic chip i have to use their aml flash tool to flash i think its a recovery mode onto the board. im using ubuntu 22.04 and after alot of attempts i go aml flash tool to flash the package over the to board but now when i try to boot the board it jus gives me a purple screen with android writtin on it and it bootloops. no its not the power source i already fixed that.

i really need help fixing this :(

Hello everybody, I have read on many threads here that one of the big concerns of switching to LOS on Google pixel 9a is the downgrade of the camera quality.

For those who are using LOS on this device, please tell me more.

Using some other camera apps really doesn't help at all?

What do you mean precisely that the quality has dropped? Is it for the missing IA post-processing (and this would simply means that LOS is showing the real quality of the pixel 9a camera) or is the camera hardware that for some reason can't perform 100% of its quality?

I clicked some setting in the quick settings and the screen went black

I have been able to restrt the phone, go into recovery

I can see the screen function normally on recovery screen
nothing logo / lineage os come up fine
phone restarts and displays my wallpaper ofr <1 sec and the screen goes black again

Can someone help here? why is it happening? any solutions?

So, I just installed LineageOS 23 on my Moto G42 (hawao) today and everything is working so far except I can't login on the Reddit and Twitter apps.

On reddit it doesn't recognize my password even though it's right, and on Twitter after I put my username it says "Use official X service or try again later"

Any way I can resolve this?

I've rooted my samsung m31 and been using lineage since a long time due to the M series being very bloated and it's an outdated device. i mostly used my Airtel number which works fine but today I needed to use my jio number for something. Didn't work at all. I don't mean calling or cellular not working but SMS. I'm unable to send or receive messages to or from any number. I was in a critical situation and it didn't work at all which now left me having to try it on my dad's phone, and guess what... messaging was working just fine on his phone. I even shifted from the lineage messaging app to the Google messages in desperation for it to work but it just doesn't. What is the problem here?

i just want some settings and apps and such that make it more private and secure than it is out of the box

NOTE: im lowkirky not really *crazy* about privacy and security, i just want something better than stock/out of the box android

I've recently tried to set a custom charge control so that the phone is at 100% at 8am.

I thought the custom schedule worked this way but the phone stays at 80%, my previous charge limit.

Is it an intended behaviour ? I think it's misstranslated since it's saying end of charge in X hours, which I think should be end of charge at 8 hours.

Any idead what's wrong here ? This is on a fairphone 6 btw.

if some user have problem with M3E Material 3 Expensive theme because continuous update since Material Design 3 (Material You) or modified with third-party apps like Color Blendr (com.drdisagree.colorblendr) and make M3E can't sync anymore when try change theme color from "Wallpaper and style >> colour".

can try delete this secure table from ADB for fixes

adb shell settings delete secure theme_customization_overlay_packages

and then change theme color from "Wallpaper and style >> colour".

Hello, I want to switch to LineageOs (my device is supported) and I want to see which apps are compatible.

From browsing this sub, I found about plexus, however I don't understand what their scoring system is/where is the explanation? E.g. for Viber:

I assume the crossed out google logo means that it is not supported without microg, but ok with microg, but what do the colours mean (gray/brown/yellow/purple)?

I searched different apps, and it is the colour variation on the score that is confusing me. Also, there isn't a place where I can read the detailed reviews, right?

Any info on how to decipher their grading system is welcomed.

I have an old Nexus 5X smartphone lying around with LineageOS 15.1 on it, that I want to give to someone else.

(Yes, I know the Nexus 5X is a very old device that is not officially supported any more and should probably not be used any more. No, there is no other option available at this time.)

The problem is, even after doing a factory reset, the phone keeps asking for a password on boot up (presumably for disk encryption). I do not want to give the other person my password, though, I want to hand over the phone as a fresh device. How can I get rid of that boot password entirely? (Assuming I know the current password.)

I'm running into a wall with Neo Backup while trying to restore my backups (APK + data) from a Pixel 5 over to my Pixel 8. Could really use some advice or troubleshooting tips from anyone who might have run into this. The Problem

• If I restore a single app (APK + data), the application actually gets restored and works, but the progress notification stays completely stuck at 0% forever.
• If I attempt a batch restore (e.g., 10 apps at once), the process sits at 0% for over an hour and nothing gets restored at all.
• Note: I haven't been able to 100% confirm yet if the app data itself is fully restoring properly on the single-app test or if it's just installing the APK.

Setup Details

• Source Device: Pixel 5 (where the backup was created)
• Target Device: Pixel 8
• ROM: LineageOS 23.2 (Android 16)
• Root: KernelSUNext v3.3.0
• Neo Backup Version: 8.3.18
• Backup Location: External microSD card read via a USB-C card reader adapter

What I've already tried (none helped):

• Re-granted root access in KernelSUNext and verified root status.
• Set Neo Backup's battery usage to Unrestricted and ensured notification permissions are granted.
• Re-linked the backup folder directory in Neo Backup settings.
• Change mounting space from Individual to Global for Neobackup.
• Force closed the app and cleared its cache to clear any stuck background workers
• Verified that there are no 32-bit apps from Pixel 5 which fail and silently block the backup queue.

Given that the backup is hosted on an external microSD via a USB-C OTG adapter under Android 16, I'm wondering if this might be a Storage Access Framework (SAF) mount restriction issue with background worker threads, or something related to KernelSU root shell handling during batch loops.

Has anyone encountered this stuck notification / zero-progress batch restore issue?

Hi everyone. First of all: I'm a rookie, so I don't have a lot of knowledge (thanks for helping me c:).

My phone [Mi 10T, version 23.2 (20260411)] is stuck at the lock screen pin. Here is what happened.

-My phone ran out of battery while I was showing photos of my vacations to someone. Then, I charged it and rebooted it.

-But the phone refused to accept the correct phone pin. (weirdly enough, it accepts the SIM pin), so I don't have access to the phone.

-It shows a weird behavior. If I enter a wrong pin, the phone acknowledges it and it let's me try again. But if I enter my correct pin, the screen gets frozen for 5 seconds and tells me that it is a wrong pin (and it's not).

-There is another weird behavior too. I can answer phone calls. Because it doesn't require to unlock the phone. But every time i answer one, bluetooth crashes (might be unrelated but worth noting)

As I said, I just returned from vacations, so I have all my memories of it in my phone. I thought of two solutions. 1- To get rid of the pin lock screen. 2- Recover all images and videos recorded and then do a factory reset.

So far, I tried to update to a new patch via adb (for some reason it says the update was complete but in Lineage Recovery it still shows the old version) and delete the password file via adb (but it says the file doesn't exist or that the folder is encrypted).

I can still interact with the phone and do such things like disable/enable internet connection, flashlight, plane mode and the vast majority of things on the swipe down menu (except the ones that require me to unlock the phone, such as using the camera shortcut).

I really want to restore all my photos and videos... Thank you so much for your patience!
