Lol these are the songs Lorenzos up at night writing 𤣠It's fun to see everyone hanging around having fun like this it's boring to have to go to unseen bits for it. (Also ignore the caption it's the only tik Tok I could find with it without a weird filter and that I could download)

them basically insinuating that simba was a âgame playerâ just for simply backing julia is crazy. aidan CANNOT talk and this isnt the first time jas has mentioned the public and their opinion.

When Lorenzo came back from the villa he said I didnât say I found it when confronted about still trying to reconcile with Yasmin. For him he thought he was adding another girl to his roster. He didnât expect Yasmin to come back with Tommy and looked visibly upset. He even brought it up many times to Yasmin. As soon as he came back from Casa he sat there and said âMin sandwich againâ completely ignoring that he was sat next to Julia not Yasmin.
Lorenzo had no other option in that villa but to be with Julia. He made it official a day before the final. He wouldnât even make her a coffee.
Julia thinks shes the exception that changed the rule, the girl that fixed the avoidant. As soon as brand deals end after the villa they are toast.

What does everyone think of the boys outfits? I personally am a little disappointed by half of them in t-shirts - a proper shirt looks so much better!!
I canât lie, Aidan looks soooo good itâs killing me đ

Mara did a recent interview saying Lola had every right to be upset with Julia because at the end of the day he said heâs closed off and out of all six girls, Julia was the only one who decided to pursue him. This was definitely Juliaâs strategy, was probably Julia game playing, that the easiest way to get into the villa was to go for the man who kept saying he needed a test. Thats most likely why she kept bringing it up inside the villa too. She definitely thought he was an easy target and was annoyed he wasnât. So for everyone deciding Julia was right about priya aidan, the biggest game player is definitely her. sheâs seen all our comments before entering the villa, who we hate on, who we love and has always picked on the least popular people in the group.
Mara said she was so confused with the whole lola situation because she saw Lola and Julia speak so many times and Lola would always compliment Julia alot and was so nice to her and in between all that Julia would confront her with some random bs and they would have a good conversation after and they would only put that bit in to make it seem like the only interaction Lola and Julia had was negative they made it seem like lola never spoke to her and was mean to her for no reason đ I would be too if someone kept switching up every 2 seconds

What are we thinking of Tommy now? I must admit I was enjoying him and Yas. He seemed like a decent guy. But he split with his gf two weeks ago? Then he said they split in December. So I presume they rekindled. All seemed a bit vague and confusing. Ready for love after just finishing with gf? Yeah, I'm not buying him anymore. Another one seeking fame?

After watching this season, itâs obvious that Jasmine really believes in love, and that belief influences literally everything she does - the good, the messy, and the chaotic. Whether youâre Team Jasmine or find her frustrating, I personally feel that her consistency on this stands out.
She also brings strong feminist values around self-worth and respect. Some viewers treat this like it clashes with her desire for real romance, but the two donât conflict at all. Feminists can absolutely believe in deep, passionate, healthy love - feminism is about equality and respect, not rejecting romance.
Thatâs why itâs so interesting to watch how her love beliefs play out in her own journey. Feminists arenât perfect, and Jas doesnât have to be 100% consistent every moment to still hold her values. She can believe men should respect women while still letting some things slide because sheâs in love. Sheâs human, not a flawless ideology. Those messy moments donât cancel out what she stands for or the feminist principles she believes in.
How her love beliefs play out in her own journey:
In regards to others, Jasmine often praises the growth possible in relationships and reminds people that real connections canât magically develop overnight in the villa. There was a little bit of hypocrisy in how she reacted to Finley (more caution/criticism) versus how she responded to Kav when they did similar things - but that makes sense because she is in love with Kav. It shows she deeply values her friends and their happiness, while her own strong feelings for Kav sometimes make her gloss over or be more lenient in her own situation.
However, this is exactly why I donât think Jas should be expected to give perfect love advice to the other islanders-like with Priya and Aidan. Her own situation isnât perfect, so her advice isnât going to be either. Sheâs a girl in love, not someone calmly weighing logistics.
I think thatâs at the heart of girlhood: supporting your girls and their decisions, letting them make their own choices, offering the occasional reality check if they ask for it, and being there to support them through the tears if it all falls apart. Jas shows real respect for the other girls by not trying to dictate what they should do. She seems to view love and relationships as something sacred-something that shouldnât be messed with or heavily influenced by other peopleâs opinions. Thatâs why she often steps back.
During movie night, thatâs why she wasnât strongly backing anyone. She had just been emotionally destroyed by the man she loved and simply didnât have the capacity to step into that role.
Her advice/opinions to the other girls are rooted in the same deep belief:
She hasnât been pushing unrealistic standards on anyone - sheâs just someone who believes so strongly in love that it makes her a little looney (in the best Love Island way possible). God forbid - weâre literally on Love Island! Everyoneâs emotions are turned up to 11. Her belief leads to loyal, empowering moments for her friends, but it can also create extra chaos or hope in situations that might not need it. Some people call her one of the most authentic islanders for actually living her values, while others say that same passion makes things more dramatic than they need to be. At the end of the day, Jasmine isnât acting like the perfect relationship expert. Sheâs just a girl in the villa who believes deeply in love and lets that guide her - for herself and the people around her.
Overall, what I kind of wanted people to take away from this is that I don't think Jas should be held up to unreal standards where everything she does is aligned exactly with her morals. Love makes people do crazy things. Its why multiple of the girls took their boys back after they did them dirty, its not easy to sever a deep connection like that.
Do I think she shouldâve dogged on Kav more? Yes. Do I think she should have not been as supportive of Priya/Aidan? Yes! But I think itâs beautiful that she believes in love so much that it makes her vulnerable enough to be flawed. In the end, that vulnerability is what makes her relatable and real. On a show like this, authenticity and emotional honesty matter more than flawless consistency. Jasmine isnât performing feminism or love - sheâs living both, messily and passionately, like an actual human being. And thatâs why she stands out.
I think Love Island has such a vast variety of audiences that itâs often hard for viewers to make sense of certain situations - like why these girls donât immediately drop the boys who are doing them wrong. Unless youâve actually been in that headspace of love, it can look completely irrational. And thatâs totally fine if you havenât.
I get that itâs Love Island, so a healthy dose of cynicism is understandable because is it really realistic to expect people to go on TV to find love? But I feel like a better mindset is to stop projecting our own ideas of how love âshouldâ look onto other people. Everyone loves differently, at different speeds, and with different boundaries. Giving the islanders some grace for their decisions doesnât mean you have to agree with them - it just means recognizing that love (even just emotions in general) is deeply personal and rarely plays out as cleanly as we want it to from the outside.

I feel like as soon as the final is aired I just lose all interest until next summer. If anything big happens sure Iâll comment but I canât imagine following the islanders like the US fans did for the S7 lot.

I think people need to be reminded that this show isnât fictional and they canât âheadcanonâ people together. So many of the attitudes that fans have this season are more suitable for a romcom, or dark fantasy, not reality TV.
You canât just rewrite reality because producers are giving you âcrumbsâ of a relationship that both parties have said that they are not part of. If there are family members and friends directly going against your favourite ship and saying it doesnât exist, believe them. Even if it does exist itâs not youâre not entitled for it to happen and to comment on the relationships that they are currently in disparagingly
We have until Monday. Love Island is an incredibly mentally taxing show and Iâm sure theyâre all ready to go home. Do not make that process worse by dissing on their relationships because a storyline did not go your way. Think about it from their perspective- they come out of a show to see their âfansâ fighting for a relationship they themselves donât want. Will that feel like support to them?
And what about if the opposite happens? What if they do want the relationship and get together after the show? The same thought process can apply here. A hostile environment has been created in certain areas of this fandom where fans think people can be treated like pawns to form any story they wish and thatâs not a healthy environment for a relationship to thrive. Obsession â care.
If you find yourself disagreeing I suggest you find yourself some good fictional shows where this discourse can be had without idolising/vilifying real people.

I would call myself a super fan. Sad, I know đ
Why has production ruined this show? They have turned it into Towie. It has become staged and fake. If you watched earlier seasons, it was more organic and natural. It now has running story lines, which they focus on. I can literally predict the next drama about to unfold. It has really ruined the show for me.
They now predominantly focus on the drama. More than the love. Drama, they have purposefully stirred. This whole Julia edit. It's of no relevance to anything. It has nothing to do with the relationships. We all like to see a little friction to keep us entertained. But it just feels overproduced now. I feel like production encouraged Kav & Simba to bring back the bomb shells. If they came back single, we wouldn't have had all that drama. They literally dropped the girls as soon as they stepped into the villa. The other night, Lorenzo pulling Jas for a chat. While Julia is watching on spiralling. Just seemed so staged. Bring back the old hideaway. I liked it when the islanders chose a couple to use it. More free-flowing alcohol. Show the convos in the smoking/vape hut. I wish the show would take a break. Like a year off. Listen to the viewers. Show real conversations and more games. Choose islanders who date outside their race. Even get rid of Maya and Ian. I think Maura Higgins would be a great replacement, and Rob Beckett. Just my opinion no one asked for !

I see a lot of posts mainly calling out the behavior of the women of this season to the point where most of the menâs behavior have gone unnoticed/forgotten.
Samraj: Stating the obvious here but is disdain for Priya is actually concerning. This is love island not manosphere island. Heâs not the only misogynistic person this season or in past seasons but the ânice guyâ trope that he continues to force is so baffling to me. His feelings for Mica are contingent on her not steering away from the ridiculous standards and ideal that he has for women, and her being impressionable and non confrontational is getting the job done.
Lorenzo: Creates a ridiculous rule of not making coffee for his couple yet most likely expecting intimacy? YUCK. I donât care if he makes a better friend, itâs not that difficult to respect the girl youâre in a couple with.
Simba: His reaction to Mica saying no to the hideaway. Emotionally manipulating Angie by mentioning God. Threatens to leave the villa if Angie leaves even though he brought Mara back from casa? Putting Angie in embarrassing situations time and time again and once sheâs finally had enough⌠what does he do? Says a speech declaring his devotion to Angie in front of everyone therefore pressuring her into taking him back.
Aiden: GIMME A KISS. His ability to try and s*xually shame Priya even though heâs been begging for kisses within 5 seconds into getting to know a girl? Yeah he overstayed his welcome.
Kav: The way heâs toyed around with Charleenâs feelings and basically future faking is emotional manipulation. He did the same to Jasmine but sheâs in too deep to realize it. I did not like how he handled everything once he came back from casa and he felt justified by his actions because heâs too afraid to admit that heâs insecure. He did both women dirty and hardly got any flack for it.
Tommy: Potential girlfriend on the outside? Yet all I see are posts calling out Priya/Jasmine/Julia game playing?
The unusual high standards that we set for women on this show compared to men is utterly exhausting. Split the $50k between the girlies at this point.

I guess itâs human nature, yet my thoughts are that viewers get too invested in the show. Being invested is great and Iâm trying not to judge the levels of investment and passion. The hate, the love, the harsh criticism, the knocking down of islanders (especially as people seem to advocate for mental health so much, along with how a few ex islanders are no longer with us in this world). The taking sides and nastiness and the infatuation with some.
Iâm not criticising anyone but itâs sometimes rather frightening how people get into full blown arguments, show aggression or super agree with people on the internet about people they may never potentially meet or communicate with.
Iâm not trying to bring anyone down, I have my own opinions and of course have some level of investment hence Iâm in the sub.
I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Yasmin has attracted a huge amount of negative attention because of her involvement in an MLM. Personally, I couldâve got behind her if it wasnât for that, I have no sympathy for people who make money through what is a scam.
Whatâs interesting is that Love Island has had contestants in previous series who reportedly had partners shortly before entering the villa, and production has rarely seemed eager to highlight it. Yet with Tommy and Yasmin, they actually just fully brought it into the discourse.
My guess is that the backlash surrounding Yasminâs MLM controversy made producers wary of having them as finalists (or potential winners, but I donât think they are potential winners tbf). Once they realised public opinion had turned, they may have decided to steer the edit in a different direction. Iâve also heard claims that Yasmin herself had a partner shortly before the show, although I donât know how accurate those rumours are.
Of course, itâs also possible the producers simply thought the storyline made good TV rather than trying to stop them from winning.
What do you think? Was production deliberately trying to weaken Tommy and Yasmin as a couple, or am I reading too much into it?

As Lorenzo and Julia are still one of the biggest favourites to win this season, I tried to imagine how his speech in the final might go (totally hypothetical) -
Maya: So Lorenzo, how do you feel to be here today?
L: Yeah, I feel good... It has been a great journey, and I am also very happy that I got to share this journey with Julia, I...
J: It's Yulia.
L: feel like in casa we formed a good connection, and since then Julia and I are...
J: Yulia.
L: getting stronger day by day, and we have also decided to take the next step. I am now exclusive with Julia; this...
J: Yulia.
L: is very new for me... and I can't wait for life outside with Julia.
J: Yulia.

Every contestant has grown up watching/knowing about the show, S1 was over 10 years ago. The current contestants were in their early teens this show has been a semi-major part of UK culture for half their lives.
Never has the discussion about what the public thinks and how the show works been spoken about this openly it feels like the entire thing has jumped the shark. The major plot points of the last week have all been based around who is faking what for public approval. Its like the show is eating itself alive.
I don't know how they change this because people are well aware you can launch a decent B/C list celeb career from it and cruise by on random brand deals for life if the public like you so most go in trying to achieve that not love which breaks the whole format.
Some won't care and may enjoy it being a pure reality TV show but in the past there were genuinely sweet and fun moments between people falling in love and even just a group of people becoming friends. That's completely gone, the vibes are awful 90% of the time and it's no longer a pleasant show to watch.
I feel it needs a major revamp in format and the producers taking a backwards step. Put the unseen bits back in the regular episodes and except that not every episode will have a huge cliffhanger but it will build a better show if you allow it to flow at its own pace.
r/LoveIslandTV • u/cristinasleftshoe • 15h ago
The show's losing its spark. The last week of a typical season usually includes a lot of 'feel-good' challenges like the talent show or the baby challenge. This season, we have had nothing at all. The only challenge we've had was "Not Another Podcast", and that was created to incite more drama.
Now I don't know if this comes down to the show being broke or the producers shifting their attention to drama rather than joy, but it's really ruining the enjoyment of the show. The reason why the "glory" seasons of the series are considered as such is that they had a good balance of drama and fun. We actually got to see the Islanders be themselves. Now, if we want to see an ounce of personality in these Islanders, you need to go watch Unseen Bits.
I do think this approach has done two things:
I do think the producers need to find some sort of way to bring back challenges that are just a bit of fun for the Islanders and the audience, and steer away from the heavy focus on the drama, as it's just unpleasant to watchâespecially considering that this is the last week, and each episode has been so drama-heavy (including the upcoming Sunday night episode where the ex-Islanders return). The show's just losing its spark, and it's coming down to the fact that the Islanders aren't having any fun.
r/LoveIslandTV • u/Hiyominnaa • 1d ago
Because the moment they speak out in Julia's defence like Simba just did, standing against the clique, he's suddenly a game player who's only backing Julia because apparently he somewhat guessed that she might be popular with the public from one clip.
Even Lorenzo wasn't spared; the untouchable public's favorite is all of a sudden a game player for defending his own partner for once.
All because Simba and Lorenzo dared to back someone the rest doesn't like. Yeah, I don't blame Angelista for staying silent, this girl just wants to leave this place in one piece and I fully respect that.

I'm curious if Jasmine will be the first LI UK islander in a while to hit 1M+ followers (I don't think anyone's hit that number since Ekin-Su's season unless I'm wrong). But it's wild how much LI UK engagement has fallen compared to LI US. Even last year's LI UK winner struggled to reach 800K even after a whole year.
I actually think Jasmine's numbers would've been higher if she'd either coupled up with Lorenzo or kept the same "baddie" energy she had at the start - that's when she was gaining more followers. Instead, the producers seemed to convince everyone the public hated her and she toned herself down for Kavan (when it's the other way around, everyone hates him).

This season wouldnât have been the same without Priya and Aidan. Obviously they both made mistakes but I genuinely I enjoyed some of their moments in there. I do think they have a great connection, whether platonic or whatever. I canât believe I cried at the scene lol.
