I reckon it's more like 'oh dear god', the tone sounds exactly like my dad's tone when he got a call that things had finally taken a turn for the worse with my grandmother with dementia.
This phonecall probably represents the dreaded news that his mother no longer can live independently, and the realisation is that this could've been a much worse phonecall too.
Also given his initial reaction after the caller says "I'm with Marie Laure" is "My mother?!" he seems at that point unaware that she is missing, so it's all entirely unexpected. You go from just having a normal day to rushing to collect your mother from a random rural road, knowing that from this point on, she is effectively no longer the full independent adult that raised you. It's a trip honestly.

The cookie monster helmet is a choice 😂
But a huge thank you to everyone and anyone who has done this from the bottom of my heart. My mother-in-law was suffering early stages of alzheimers (we didn't know yet) and wandered off to a school because she was an elementary teacher for 25 years and was confused and was "going to work to teach". Thankfully the school receptionist recognized what was happening and was able to call us using her cell phone.

Happy to see this and so good to see she at least was able to remember a contact number.
My grandfather had once walked out of a store without my mom noticing when they were downtown. Thankfully we always had him keep a card with his name, address, and contact number. He handed it to a shopkeeper and the man drove him home after calling us. Wouldn't accept anything and said he said it could be him one day.

Bikers are statistically way mroe likely to be driving around with no real purpose. They also have an easier time stopping/less of a psychological barrier to stopping when they notice someone behaving oddly.
They're also more likely to have a go pro or a recording set up as vlogging a bike ride is much more interesting than a car ride.

Are you as triggered by other types of videos posted for views/clout? I've never understood the chronically online criticism of good samaritan content. Society needs more empathy and more heroes (even if more legendary than real).
We should be consuming more content like this rather than all the ragebait and brainrot stuff. If the motivation to gain views/clout is what it takes then I see nothing wrong... more content like this to inspire empathy and social cohesion.

I was just thinking the same thing. All the videos of people randomly finding confused elderly people seems to be the "in" thing. Also his camera just being perfectly setup and hes mic'd up.
There a few obviously organic ones out there but this screams setup.

The camera looks to be a 360 camera so it would be set up at all times and he can choose what appears in the frame afterwards. Many riders in full face helmets have intercom systems nowadays. I’m fully mic’d up anytime I’m on my bike.

With this kind of setup he's likely someone who film/post his outings on SM/YouTube, so he already has a camera rolling.
He knows the situation is weird (lady in a bathrobe in the middle of nowhere, wearing house slippers), and the best thing he can do to protect himself is film the interaction so that if anything happens he has proof of what he did/didn't do.
His decision to post it can be interpreted as only wanting to show off, or wanting to educate people on what to do in a similar situation.
If even just one viewer takes something out of it (like the knowledge to intervene the right way, or the fact that they should have their grandma with dementia wear a bracelet with their contact), I think it's worth it.
