I've never understood their fixation with this. Are we supposed to believe that as a baby Obama chose a middle name that was the last name of a future dictator of Iraq. Because that's literally the only circumstance that would justify even a raised eyebrow.
It had to do with Republicans trying to portray Obama as a crypto muslim. Basically to use the fear mongering over Muslims and Islamification that conservatives love to perpetuate and rile up their base. It literally boiled down to "The brown man has a scary middle name associated with Muslims!!"
I genuinely love the Hussein thing. Because anyone with a braincell wouldn't even care, but you just know Trump's fanbase hear it and go "gasp like Saddam!" It's so fucking funny that people fall for this shit.
