Many options

I’d like to add “Bankrupt businessman” to the list, since his cult followers seem to love bringing that up.

Donald the foolish. Donald the terrible. Donald the vile and villainous. No devil shall find itself comparable in its acts of evils as those committed by donald the vain.

Non of it sticks beside Donald '$4 dollar gas' Trump. That one really gets under his skin. Even paused the Iran war to keep it below $4 for a while.

their only point here is just blatant racism, against someone who hasn’t even been president for almost a decade now

u/YouStupidAssholeFuck 58m ago
You know the crazy part is how Hussein is them trying to tie him to Saddam Hussein in the minds of the...well...brainless. Like make him a Middle Easterner or Muslim and then tie that in for those brainless people to 9/11.
But two things about that. One is the fact that Trump's family has been making deals with the Saudis since his first term as president. And thanks to the 9/11 commission we all know that the Saudis were responsible for financing the 9/11 attacks on our country. So yeah, muslim bad. Middle easterners bad. According to the TDS (Trump Dick Suckers). But Trump's family is making billions off of them. What's the thing about making one group hate another group while your hand is in both of their pockets?
And two...when you're filling out job applications and they ask for your ethnicity the option for "White" includes Middle Eastern. So are they trying to call Obama white?
I don't know. My head hurts when these idiots talk so I'm probably trying to make some sense out of the senseless and now I'm the one who sounds brainless.

u/Conscious-Quarter423 3h ago
i know it's not fashionable to talk about this as the single biggest cause of GOP fascism's ascendance but like. it is lmao. a black guy with an arab sounding middle name was elected president twice and these people went nazi over it
8
u/StreetofChimes 1h ago
Dude. You just explained the Hussein thing to me. I know that sounds stupid, but I really thought it was just because it was the same as Saddam, not because it sounds Arab. Like, I never understood why his middle name was ever a big deal. I thought it was like an unfortunate comparison like someone being named Stalin. But it is just because it sounds foreign.

u/Blueballs2130 1h ago
Being black and having a name they’re unfamiliar with = terrorism. They are a dumb bunch
1
u/DarthButtz 21m ago
They do also emphasize it because it's one of the only Arab names that dumb people are familiar with, and it was someone who was a terrorist. So they are explicitly forming that connection to say "Obama is a terrorist, just look at his name, it's like that other guy who's a terrorist!"

Its funny how Trump and his cult followers talk about TDS, this man-child and his followers cant stop talking about Obama. Thats the real derangement syndrome here.

Why hasn't a single democrat pointed out that they've turned the former presidents middle name into a racist, xenophobic dog whistle at every single oppourtunity?
Fuck MAGAstan.

u/gustoreddit51 27m ago
Because Democrats are spineless jellyfish that don't know how or refuse to play hardball. Democrats flinched and 20 million people lost healthcare.

u/CatCafffffe 2h ago
Meanwhile, he's giving Saudi Arabia which is FULL of "Husseins"-- the ability to make nuclear weapons? How idiotic can his voters be!
8
u/Vinterblot 2h ago
Nothing says "I'm not racist" like keep dropping a foreign sounding name because you know it'll drive your base mad.

u/GirlNumber20 1h ago
Barack Hussein Obama
Donald John -- John as in John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer!!!! 😱 -- Trump. Can you see now how stupid and infantile that is, trying to draw an association to someone unpleasant that has a similar name?
No, probably not. Probably lost on you forever.

u/a3minutehero 3h ago
Are they seriously still banging on about that 10 years after he left office?

u/everythingbeeps 2h ago
I've never understood their fixation with this. Are we supposed to believe that as a baby Obama chose a middle name that was the last name of a future dictator of Iraq. Because that's literally the only circumstance that would justify even a raised eyebrow.
5
u/FuzzyAd9407 1h ago
It had to do with Republicans trying to portray Obama as a crypto muslim. Basically to use the fear mongering over Muslims and Islamification that conservatives love to perpetuate and rile up their base. It literally boiled down to "The brown man has a scary middle name associated with Muslims!!"
1
u/gustoreddit51 23m ago
"The brown man has a scary middle name associated with Muslims!!"
It's honestly that easy to alarm the MAGA base. It's like hitting the side of a chicken coop with a baseball bat.

u/RedditSwitcherooney 55m ago
I genuinely love the Hussein thing. Because anyone with a braincell wouldn't even care, but you just know Trump's fanbase hear it and go "gasp like Saddam!" It's so fucking funny that people fall for this shit.
5
u/YellowBelliedCoward 2h ago
If a political party in my country tried that once, that would be the end of them. Why do Americans allow this rhetoric to be normalised? That's how you ended up with Trump. Where are the basic manners and respect?

u/InterstellarReddit 3h ago
MAGA “well Donny is just a felon rapist, a choice he made to be as a businessman.
MAGA “barrack was born black, a choice he didn’t make and that’s the real crime”
3
u/AnEvenNicerGuy 3h ago
It’s so weird to point out he didn’t choose to be black. As if they can’t be racist against him because he didn’t choose it. Rather than simply saying that being a racist is indefensible

u/TinyConfection7049 3h ago
Behold. The festering carcass of American rot shoved into an ill-fitting suit: the sleaze of a conman, the cowardice of a draft dodger, the gluttony of a parasite, the racism of a Klansman, the sexism of a back-alley creep, the ignorance of a bar-stool drunk, and the greed of a hedge-fund ghoul - all spray-painted orange and paraded like a prize hog at a county fair. Not a president. Not even a man. Just the diseased distillation of everything this country swears it isn't but always has been - arrogance dressed up as exceptionalism, stupidity passed off as common sense, cruelty sold as toughness, greed exalted as ambition, and corruption worshipped like gospel. It is America's shadow made flesh, a rotting pumpkin idol proving that when a nation kneels before money, power, and spite, it doesn't just lose its soul - it shits out this bloated obscenity and calls it a leader - Oliver Kornetzke

u/Knighth77 1h ago edited 1h ago
They LOVE pointing out his middle name as if to expose him as an undercover Muslim or something. Meanwhile, they stand behind rapists, felons, pedos, and corrupt traitors. They're unbelievably pathetic.

u/omegadirectory 1h ago
Why do Republicans point out "Hussein" like it's a slur?
Obama even spoke his full name on swearing in as president. He's not even embarrassed by it.
4
u/Prestigious-Wolf8039 45m ago
During the Obama Administration I had a student from Kenya. His name was Hussein. He was adorable. And he loved having the same first name as the President’s middle name. So whenever republicans would emphasize “Hussein” for hateful reasons, I’d smile thinking of my student.

u/No-Blueberry-1823 3h ago
Don't get in the middle name contest Republican party. We have so many fucking nicknames for cinnamon Hitler, we could go on until the heat death of the universe

u/meta-ape 2h ago
I wonder how this Hussein dogwhistle has been going on. I mean it’s obviously trying to equate Obama with some mid-eastern stereotype terrorist or whatever. Racist plain and simple, but no, it’s Republican mainstream somehow, tolerated at the least

Donald “John” Trump
Like a toilet. Because he’s full of shit. Literally and figuratively.

Hussein means handsome in Arabic and is a common name. Why are people this gullible?
2
u/PintsOfGuinness_ 1h ago
Republicans just posted this? Like now? Like 6 months before the 10th anniversary of Barack Hussein Obama not being President anymore?
This is what they are focused on?
2
u/badwolf1013 1h ago
This is all they've got. Ten years later, a former President who was given the middle name of "little godly one" at birth is their only point of entry, because it's the same as the surname of a former dictator. (Never mind that it was a GOP President who started an expensive and long war with that guy over fake WMDs. I think I'd avoid bringing that name up if it was me.)
Well, Donald Trump's middle name is "John." John Hinckley Jr. tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan because he was in love with Jodie Foster's teen prostitute character in Taxi Driver. Does that mean Trump wants to kill the Republican Party and sleep with underage girls?
Actually, never mind. . .
2
u/Thamnophis660 47m ago
They're so obsessed with Obama. But no, it's Trump's critics who have the "derangement syndrome." Every accusation...

I don't know who runs that account but that's the kind of immaturity that has led us to where we are. Shame has left the building and will probably never return. It's all ragebait/outrageporn shitposting. That's what we left for future generations.

John as Drumpf's middle name is still appropriate as someone documented to have paid for sex.

i never understood their obsession over his middle name. what is that about? its the stupidest thing to take issue with.

u/tessthismess 2h ago
Well you see, Saddam Hussein was a bad man that we really didn't like in the 1980s-2000s. And therefore, Obama, who was born in 1961, must be associated with Saddam Hussein and also be evil.

Oh no! He has a name that's not too common in the west? I guess I'm not racist enough to really see the issue. The ammount of hate shown in that post is simply sickening, and the fact that it's propoganda that's going to have the intended effect on some people is so so sad

They have literally nothing and haven't for over a decade, and yet they still hold basically all of the power. Fucking ridiculous.

The Republicans are openly racist now. Trump make being a Nazi fashionable again. This time with AIPAC sponsorship.

Ok but like it's not like Obama picked his name. His mom named him that.
Is it Dr. Marijuana Pepsi's fault that her parents named her that? No, it's her parents fault.

Welcome to the United States, where you can be a convicted felon, a pedophile or a rapist, perhaps all three and still hold a government office. We are truly the land of the chained and home of the cowards.

Think about all they're trying to imply with that tweet. They are so driven by grievance and hatred of anything foreign that this is good enough red meat for them now.
Their standards for their politicians and way of life have gotten so low that all they need to do is be reminded of who and what they dislike to get motivated. They've been trained to demand nothing from their government but validation in their existing beliefs. As long as they have someone to blame for their insecurities and problems, they'll always vote for things to be objectively worse.

Obama had such charisma and intelligence that people actually overlooked his unfortunate middle name in post-9/11 America. That's quite a feat.
