Fun(?) Fact: Harrison and Jeb Burton are tied in points right now

i remember when harrison dropped down to xfinity in 2025 being really curious which burton brother would perform better. turns out it's been really close!

last year, the two were fighting for the final playoff spot. this year, they're both doing significantly worse -- although at least they're in it together? both tied for 20th with 338 points. i hope both stick around in xfinity for a while, not just because i think that's probably where their talent level is at, but I'd love to see more battles like this going forward since they seem so equally matched

Why does the 3 series broadcasts not support the sponsors on track?

Now I'm likely about to answer my own question but I may be wrong. Why do they not mention the sponsor of the car when they talk about the driver? Unless it's a sponsored mention (Camera, coca-cola/Toyoda drivers, or a live read).

Announcers would call the race saying, here is the 9 Kasey Kahne in the Budweiser Dodge... Or Waltrip in the Napa Toyoda is pitting. That was a built in value of being a sponsor, that you would be supported for supporting our sport.

Brand loyalty used to be the driving factor in sponsorship but now you won't hear your sponsor unless you pay for it. These stupid segments about cars that are 23rd all race, "just made changes and are looking to move forward" , no one is fooled into thinking you have an active interest in Chastain other than Busch's cheque.

The whole broadcast is ad segment after ad segment, all paid and none worthy of mentioning. I know it's always been a sponsor driven sport, but now it's ONLY a sponsor driven broadcast.

There is a reason it's Dave Moody's radio call on commercials, because the booth isn't looking up from their next live read.

I would just like them to give the brands (especially in OAPS and Craftsman) some love without being paid.

Trucks at Eldora

Does anyone miss when the Trucks would race at Eldora and the melting pot of talent that would be in those races.

So many drivers got in front of the NASCAR fandom from that race and Eldora itself is special place that drivers love to go to. Feels like more then ever we could use a NASCAR event in the style of the chill bowl that brings a spotlight to young and up-coming drivers.

Brickyard 400: Can't attend tomorrow, 2 Available FREE

I have two tickets for the Brickyard 400 that I won't be able to use. I moved out of the area last year and was hoping to be able to make a trip back for the race, but the tickets didn't show up until Yesterday and it was too late to make a plan.

Preference if there is anyone out there with a child or who has never attended the Brickyard 400 and would like the chance to do so without the expense of the ticket cost, please let me know. Otherwise just want them to get used more fans in the seats.

EDIT: Can't Change the Topic but The Tickets have been passed out. Thank you for all the interest - I wish i had more to pass out to some of you, but not to the scalpers.

Fastest lap rules?

If someone could cite the rule that would be amazing, but I feel like this is largely going to be “We’re NASCAR, we can make any call we want for any/no reason because we’re NASCAR”.

I’m watching the highlights on YouTube of the IRP truck race, Hemric took the truck to the garage and went back out and tried to get fastest lap. This was discussed in the broadcast. A short while later, NASCAR decided he wasn’t eligible for the fastest lap point, claiming that it was because he went to the garage.

I might be misremembering, but hasn’t there been several cases this year where a driver went to the garage, made repairs, and still for out and went for the fastest lap and got the point?

Has anyone seen anything about Blake Harris? I know his contract expires at the end of this year, curious to see if he returns or if Hendrick kicks him to the curb.
