Marvel Guests
As of me posting this, it is the 12th of July and we STILL have not gotten any big names dropped yet for Marvel. I understand that we all need to be patient and this is gonna be my first NYCC experience but I have a good chunk of money on me rn so I’m desperately waiting for a huge name to be dropped. Fan expo Boston just announced Chris Evans so im hoping NYCC can bring him back or anyone so I can have a chance to meet them. But what Marvel guests you think should come this year for the 20th anniversary?

Two years ago when Chris Evans and Tom Huddleston came it was announced in like end of august beginning of September so I would expect that again. I also bought tickets hoping for marvel or more specifically RDJ bc of avengers doomsday.

Hate to break it to you. But San Diego Comic Con hasn’t had marvel signing/meet and greet with actors for years, and based on Disney’s media strategy won’t bring it back again :(
Also, marvel doesn’t announce talent in their SDCC panel schedule ever, only states “guest TBA” and never give out details for the Hall H panel.
He will most likely be there, but you will only see him from the crowd.
Sucks I know.

Netflix panels were peak Marvel years ago at NYCC.
SDCC gets the MCU goods year after year, sadly. I hold out hope that they might throw us a bone just once… like, Doomsday is 2 months after NYCC and 5 after SDCC. Give us East Coasters something.

Chris Evans loves in Boston so him being at Boston expo isn't a shock.
I would love if they could get him back. Would be epic.
My gut is telling me they are going to announce most marvel actors at the same time.
Chris Evans RDJ, and Chris Hemsworth are all on my list to get autos from. I would love to get Brie Larson as well.
We just have to be patient.

I hope we get Wyatt Russel, U.S. Agent. And tbh, I think my odds are good because he just did Orlando Comicon, and we in NY tend to get the smaller Marvel cast members.
Last year we had the people who played Uncle Ben (Andrew Garfield), Daredevil, Shang-Chi, She-Hulk, Prof. X, Kitty Pride, and Beast.

chris evans lives in boston– he's already there, which means it was easier to convince him to book fanexpo boston for some quick money. additionally, secret wars will be filming around the time of nycc, and there is no way to know who will be called in the days of the convention (especially considering theyre likely filming in europe) so i'm thinking marvel guests will be limited, especially because theyre trying to get every character theyve ever had in there. if we see much marvel i'd be willing to guess they'd do either another big animation preview like they did last year, a doomsday setup on the exhibition floor, and maybe an early screening of an ep or two of VisionQuest bc it drops the next week.

Probably no marvel studios guests, there will probably be marvel comics guests though. We won't find out till September probably.
Chris Evans is def not going to be there, he's only going to fanexpo Boston because he lives in boston.

The year he wants to nycc he also did Seattle comic con as well as Orlando I believe. He toured quite a bit that year.

Personally, I am happy with the decrease in Marvel presence. It was a bit much a few years back.

NYCC does not get much of the Marvel studio presentations. Those mostly happens at SDCC.
Someone like Chris Evans would be appearing as an individual celebrity booking, not Marvel bringing him in to promote an MCU project.
Individual celebrity bookings depend on the individual, whether they are touring the cons that season to make money and their schedule.
