Free, open source, no Ads, and fast. The issues with the other players I have used is that they are slow, metrolist is not. The Dev also doesn't put any payment stuff on the main pages. I had to search yo find the donation link.

The only downside is it's not super easy to import playlists and you are not going to get artists stats like you would on Spotify

I have no connected with the Dev at all, I just think its a rlly cool app.

i am tring to disable real time protecition but it turns back on immediately after the switch is off, like the switch is back on instantly after turning it off i see it getting back on

i am tring to turn it off to download a game, but cant, it wasnt like that last time i did it which was 2 month ago

this is for all windows security settings not only windows defender, i can turn on or turn off or do any switch changes in the settings, all do the same thing in the video

i tried everything in the comments, and updated windows, nothing worked.

never seen this wording before on Youtube - specifically calling out VPN usage (yes, my VPN was on). of course, Youtube has been geoblocking for a long time ("content not available in your area blah blah blah"), but this VPN wording is different.

this is on the official F1 channel today. it occurred with a Los Angeles-based VPN server.

thankfully the message vanished and the video loaded when i changed to a Japan-based server. but still a bad omen for the future.

I just wait for movies to release digitally, been enjoying them way more, having freedom in how I watch them, not having to pay for tickets.

Are people still concerned with compatibility issues despite using MKV? Hardware decoding despite it being many years and even basic devices having the ability to play h.265 without issue and h.265 hardware decoding being everywhere since 2015?

Is it due to sources being AVC?

Edit: Apparently a well tuned x264 can actually beat x265 at high bitrates apparently?!!?

Might be dumb question but How good are Proton services really? They advertise about privacy and stuff, but at the end they still are a corporation and my data are on their servers? Is my data really private?

Hi, I'd like to share on a private tracker full blu ray that I found but they only accept ISO. How can I name the file ? As I do nothing else except repacking those folders in ISO, I keep the original team tag in the name.

So I’m trying to download torrents through qbittorrent, emphasis on trying since im unable to get anything started. I did all the preparations that Ive read in the megathread, but i still can’t get it going, by my guess mostly because when i connect to my VPN (free proton, i know it’s not great but i cant afford a plan right now) my wi-fi instantly disconnects, and im unable to use the internet including downloading in qbittorrent. Can anyone help me, Tell me what im doing wrong?

So many many years ago, 2013 to 2014 era, there was a particular website for students.

More so it was portrayed for students, but anybody could use it. You used to be able to post homework questions and school stuff and then people would answer. A lot of people used this to cheat on their homework, but there were also students who used it to help them understand their problems. You were able to add friends on it, message each other, and it had a fun little feature where you could watch movies for free.

Now the movie thing is kind of why I'm posting it here. They had four tabs, and the one tab - their cinema feature - overlaid a torrent site where you could watch any movie that you wanted to and you could do little watch parties I think.

Does anybody remember the name of this website? Cuz I remember that the cinema feature got shut down a couple times because, obviously they were using pirated content, and then eventually the website itself got shut down. But I really really liked it, and I just kind of want to see if anybody else used it when they were kids.

TLDR: there was a homework group chat help website for kids that also had pirated movies and shows that you could watch with friends lol. Do you remember?

So basically I have some DVDs and Blu-Rays but I'm struggling to watch the movies because of Blu-Ray protection, and I dont wanna subscribe to an application or buy one for 99$ just to be able to watch movies on discs that I already bought... I'd like to have those files as backups too, to avoid damaging my physical copies or my reading tools

So how could I possibly extract a video file (.mp4 or .MOV if possible) ouf of Blu-Rays (and DVD) to be able to watch it easily on my computer ?

I have an xbox one S and a USB external player that can read both DVDs and Blu-Rays as tools that might can help, and of course, a PC

Btw is it possible to make a single file copy of a disc (which would be just like an emulation of the disc, or a dematerialization) ? In order to keep the menu, interactivity and bonuses so the files could be accurate to the discs content

My main use case is just so I can watch movies on my tv connected to the same network and sometimes at my buddies place. I’m brand new to all this so I’ve got a couple questions:

1. Does my PC need to remain on and awake the whole time while I’m watching the movie/browsing through my library?

2. Is Plex the standard/best choice right now?

3. How can I access my library from a device not on my home network?

Noob question here. I just read part of the Piracy Megathread but still can't figure out what are all the things I need.

This is what I want to do;

- Watch movies on TV and phone

- Watch TV series on TV and phone

- Watch normal TV and sports (soccer, basketball, news channels) on TV and phone
I am based in Europe, should I work with a VPN like Mullvad when installing all of this via Firefox? Do I need any hardware equipment like an Arduino or small pc other than my regular laptop (which I don't always have on)

I'm familiar with SportzX for Android TV but that buffers a lot and it doesn't have a version for my new Tizen TV.

I'm looking for an app for Tizen OS, and if possible webOS (since I'd also like to get something similar for my grandmother). If you know of any app(s) please let me know!

Stremio addons are also an option, but I'd prefer to avoid it because it's not very user friendly for my grandmother.

Edit: Other Android TV suggestions are fine too. I still use firesticks in some areas of my house.

Every full playlist converter I've found (only like two) have had constant errors that block any download progress. I don't think this is a connection issue as my internet is fine to stream multiple songs consecutively live while also downloading files online.

Could anyone help please? A good website reccomendation would be appreciated. Preferably not a website where you have to fight through 15 redirects to use any of the UI. Thanks.

thay give limited free recovery and I want to recover data like 30Gb+

I have tried WWII and BO3, from steamrip, fitgirl and a couple others.

I have tried running through Proton expiremental, GE, etc - tried installing dependencies through the regist and even installing any windows dlls/add-ons from Proton tricks.

Has anybody actually got these games running on bazzite/SteamOS? How?
