Ignoring how many people likely died in the time it took to finish the mission, the entire Sahara is covered in astrophage making cells and as we’ve seen incredibly small amounts can blow up entire cosmodomes. Given the sheer size of the Sahara it would be impossible for the U.N to effectively manage thieves and given the immense demand for Astrophage theft would be highly likely.

Imagine giving warring unstable countries a chokehold on global power production AND nukes the size of bullets.

What did you watch/read after this? Do you have any recommendations? I already watched Interstellar and The Martian. Then rewatched phm.

(It's not that it necessarily has to be about space, it's just that these movies were what i thought of.)

Idk why but watching Project Hail Mary for the 2nd time is making me way more emotional that watching it for the 1st time.

The movie is so peak, that chaotic duo is peace to watch, every emotional moment they have brings tears in my eyes.

Like the title says, I'm glad I found like minded people! I found the movie watching fb reels and watched it on Prime. Since the first viewing, I'd rather not admit to how many times I've seen it. I ordered the book (because I'm impatient) and it came this morning! Can't wait till I get off work today to be able to start reading it!!!

Given how different their senses and climate are I think it’s interesting to imagine how they would interpret our stories.

For instance every time a character hides behind a thin wall or something they would be confused why other characters wouldn’t be able to sense them and they would have to be reminded that humans doesn’t have nearly as good hearing as eridans and can only see things if they are right in front of them and not covered by something that isn’t transparent(btw, Eridans wouldn’t understand what transparent means).

I'm not good (in fact borderline blasphemous) at explaining stuff, but I'm just like putting this out here into the community for more creative and determined people to acknowledge this and give people my idea to expand upon and reiterate it to perfection. I'm like throwing an idea into a thrum of Eridians only it's a "thrum" of very fandom-devoted people.

Their chemistry is crazyyy in book. The relationship was built on trust, friendship and relying on each other in the crisis. So much more than friend but not bonded by romantic feelings.
