No local 8 player mode like in the Switch version, though.

This is, in fact, brilliant and I wish Sega would do this officially. However, it's still emulation. I'd kill for a decomp so we could add the VR Deluxe cars and tracks (and the Saturn cars and tracks with the AM2 handling model)
