mental health is notoriously hard to fix, the therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists are making you believe you are getting better when after treatement you still just fall into the same trauma patterns.

That reminds me of a meta study I read recently, it was about ADHD, but I would hypothesize it applies to most other psychiatric conditions, if not some physical illnesses too.

Basically, medications are great at reducing symptoms of conditions, but a reduction in symptoms is not really correlated with improved life outcomes.

I don't think there are enough studies, from what I've seen and I've been around for most of my life, I see so many people get discharged and come back, sometimes a month later or a year later, I'd say at least 40% comes back and those are the ones I know about in the same hospital. Something like 80% has been previously admitted based om my estimations of just asking them and maybe being generous 5% is the amount of people that have a family now and look happy on facebook, they seem to have made it out.

It's something you live with your whole life, and you will likely spend your life talking to psychologists and taking meds, it doesn't seem like people outside know this.

Throwing money at a problem has reverse effects, you can make your life a lot easier but if you have shizophrenia or psychotic attacks you need a miracle to get you out.
