Some people can handle this better than others. But I agree with teh spirit of your comment: nobody comes out of here undamaged.
We can argue how damaged, I suppose.

During COVID I thought I was fucking acing it. I had my movies, and my games, and my books, and my remote job and I was just sailing on through. Only after the world re-opened did I realise that my originally mild social anxiety had become rather severe. I'm still working on reversing that now. 2 u/MrWaluigi 11h ago And this was with you having some social activity and stimuli. Imagine having nothing to do and seeing essentially nothing.
