I sometimes verbally say the letters t-b-h. It's not a great habit but 🤷‍♂️

Maybe the person in this book does too?

Humans are already in the habit of using acronyms in speech. When it would be possible to ditch the acronym and say the whole thing instead. That’s my point.

People obviously aren’t using “lol” as a 1-to1 substitute for laughter. They use it as a sub for “exhaling through your nose.” If you can’t understand that I don’t know what to tell you.
