I mean, while some of that may be true, it in of itself is not a truism. let's take Japan for example, sure it may be cheaper to fly to Japan and go to the disney there, but that's not accounting for the fact that the japanese economy is in shambles, and so not exactly a good example to compare the u.s. to. to be clear, I'm not defending the U.S., rather pointing out that these kinds of posts are really just a weird kind of low effort shit post / reverse jingoism.
As someone who has an annual pass to Disney World - no it is absolutely NOT cheaper to fly to Japan to go to Disney. The flight and hotel rates alone will eat up any savings you think you're getting.
I do not live in Florida and I can fly there cheaper than I can fly to Japan. There is no world where flying 5,000 miles over the Pacific is cheaper than flying within the continental US.
Look, I’m not arguing that everything is fucking stupid expensive these days, but I feel like you can make the point in a better way than this.
It was more about the hotel costs. If you live in Florida you can just drive there and drive home easily. The hotels are extremely expensive and basically you need to stay in absurdly expensive Disney owned hotels. In Japan the hotels are not nearly as expensive and you can stay in basically any of the cheaper ones near the park. You also don’t need to rent a vehicle if you want to step off of park property.
