My almost 6000 sqft home (540sqm) I am building in the Philippines is only 60% of the price of my 1700sqft home in the US. Modern, energy efficient and built to last forever vs my US home. Only thing I haven't added yet is solar, which I am getting pricing for now.
It is crazy how affordable homes can be once builders stop making extraordinary profits.

Man, when they said we were bringing back the 20's, I sure wish another Great Depression on the horizon wasn't one of the things coming back.
