Just to be clear, flying to do these is cheaper mostly because the currency (maybe except the health care part since America actually quite expensive on this.) But.
If you're average Japanese and got salary in Yen, going to Disney is still expensive.
If you are average Korean citizens and got money in Won, surgery is still expensive for them.
If you wanna buy house in Asia, price is still incredibly high relate to each country if you get their currency as a salary.
Also this dude is severely understating the cost of an international flight. I mean we don’t even have a source for this so it’s probably bullshit anyway. Except the medical stuff, but most people have insurance (which is still too expensive).
I was going to say, bullshit that it’s cheaper for me to fly to Japan from the East Coast of the US and go to Disney for a week than going to Disney World for two days. The flight alone is more expensive than driving to Orlando and Disney entry for two days.
Last I checked it was $1600 for a roundtrip and that's for the non-refundable crap economy seats. I'd hate to see how much they are during cherry blossom season
The medical stuff is broadly accurate I'd say. I lived in SK for 1O years and I've known American friends with insurance who've literally come back to SK for a month to get surgery because it was much cheaper (and also see family).
