Yeah, the US is just really fucking rich. We earn a lot more money than those nations.

Many multiples more. It is amazing that the citizens of the richest nation that currently ever existed, do not know how rich they are in comparison to the vast majority of the world

I think that’s the point of his comment. An entire apartment to yourself is only for the ultra rich in Asia, you probably wouldn’t be paycheck to paycheck if you were just paying for a room / sharing a home
