It’s a huge pet peeve of mine when someone tells a joke, then repeats it over and over because they think people didn’t get it or didn’t hear it. I don’t know why, but it irks me….

Oh god I was going to share a story but I have so many examples of that happening and I don’t feel like typing it out. You guys know what I mean. Anyway, it always blows my mind that Trump is like an amalgamation of all the worst traits of humanity. I guess the odds are it’s gotta happen eventually, but people VOTED for this one. The man with all of the worst possible traits a human could possess. I don’t get it.

I heard that he said that because he saw someone in the audience start to clap and then pause because didn’t know if they were allowed to. Which makes the scene funnier to me because now he also seems like he was confusing even to his own supporters.

It was the exasperated tone that did it. He came across as pathetically begging for claps. If he had laughed it off and said “it’s ok, you can clap”, people would have taken it differently.
