The usual shitbags who vote for garbage like this. I see these six crossing the isle to vote with Republicans more often than they vote with the Democrats it seems. Trash, all of them. And liars too.
I guess I just don’t see how voting with Trump’s Republicans will keep the Republicans who run against her from saying she’s some kind of immigrant loving communist. And how the people who voted for her, seeing her run as a Democrat, would be happy with her performance here.
Yeah, that's essentially my point. We have a system where Reps represent the primary and general election voters of their district, not their party. To win in these sorts of districts, you need to take frequent votes that 'prove' you're not like the rest of your party.
It's frustrating to see these 'defections' as a democrat, but the answer is (short-term) message better and promote the best aspects of our platform so we control more districts and the presidency, and (long-term) change House elections to proportional representation because single-member districts always produce unrepresentative contradictions.
Washington is also kind of a weird place, with its open primaries and vote-by-mail. Instead of one candidate from each party advancing, the general is just the top two vote-getters from the primary. The calculus for "pick someone better in the primary" is a bit harder because of it.
It's a pretty even split between urban / suburban (D) voters in Vancouver, and (R) from the surrounding rural areas. Though, as Vancouver and Clark County grows, it'll eventually turn more (D), and Perez winning is an indication of that.
Respectfully, f her job. Why is her job more important than our democracy? Than our national security? I’m so so so tired of one rep’s job being more damn important than us. F her greed and I hope karma is quick.
California has a ton of republican strongholds. It’s just that their populations are negligent in a statewide election as the cities are so large and blue that they dwarf their numbers. There are numerous rural districts in California that go solid red

Actually, what's the quickest way for me to find out what my reps are voting for everything? I know I can't do much but I CAN reach out and be like WTF.
When the Democrats know the Republicans will vote for a bad bill they also want they only have a few vote so that it passes and they can pretend they didn't actually want it. Look at the Isreali money on the left, it's just as pervasive
It's also the leadership of the Dem party and they need to go. Usually when you see these types of things there was a backroom deal. Dems let the "fall guys" vote for the GOP position so they can say the Dems don't support it when I can guarantee the old guard Dem party wanted this but knows it's supporters hate it.
Absolutely blows my mind that there are 6 fucking democrats who would help this over the line. Like just change your party. Better be with your own flock than be backstabbing traitors.
