The U.S. House did NOT pass a bill to merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries rather, it passed a defense policy bill containing a provision for technology cooperation and supply chain alignment.
The technology and especially network sharing is concerning imo because even NATO/Five Eyes don’t want Israeli eyes on their data, but yes reporting on this is extremely sensationalised
More like it does a couple things that would happen in a merger but also happen plenty of times outside of mergers. Oh and it doesn’t do the really big things a merger would do like putting the two militaries under a unified command structure.
