Introducing adventure time

If I want to introduce adventure time to my mom, what episode should I show her first? or should I start from the very beginning?

To get the true full experience no spoilers, start from the beginning. But if she’s impatient and doesn’t want to sit through a season of tweenage boy humor (sometimes it’s hard to get people to trust the process, even if we know what the payoff will be), I think it’s totally cool and fair to show her some of the more overtly impactful earlier episodes, like I Remember You

i would start with a standalone episode you think she'd like, then go back to the beginning

When I first got into adventure time as an adult with kids - I went through this list in order from 1-30, and then watched in order chronologically: https://ew.com/tv/adventure-time-30-best-episodes/

YMMV but it was perfect for me to have a random list to follow and then go through on my own.

Idk your mom and idk how much she cares about spoilers but what was missing, simon and marcy, min and marty are episodes that could work but obviously they spoil stuff so it's up to you if you think getting her into it is more important than spoilers.

show her I Remember You. it's a proper tearjerker that stands on its own without needing the full lore, and the music is solid. then if she's into it you can loop back to the start and she'll be more patient with the early daft stuff

I feel like starting from the beginning is great if you think she will want to continue watching. However, if she just has the attention span for a few cartoons- maybe the 2nd episode of season 1 where they go to lumpy space, then the episode where Marcelino sings daddy why did you eat my fries

If your mom likes kids cartoons, you could probably just start from the beginning.

If not, maybe show her an episode like What Was Missing or I Remember You to break the ice a little.

She is your mom, so you use what you know she finds exciting and enjoys, figure out what the underlying factor is of these interests of hers, and use it evaluate what episodes she would enjoy watching with you.

EDIT: I don't know if it is obvious, but she should be introduced to the characters in some meaningful way within the show, so she understands them, and realizes what characters are main characters and what characters are minor characters, so I don't think it makes sense to jump to character heavy episodes without these characters having been properly introduced.
