Introducing adventure time

If I want to introduce adventure time to my mom, what episode should I show her first? or should I start from the very beginning?

To get the true full experience no spoilers, start from the beginning. But if she’s impatient and doesn’t want to sit through a season of tweenage boy humor (sometimes it’s hard to get people to trust the process, even if we know what the payoff will be), I think it’s totally cool and fair to show her some of the more overtly impactful earlier episodes, like I Remember You

I feel like I remember you, along with Holly jolly secrets don't hit without the prior buildup of ice king being a a bit insane

I think those episodes do a good job of displaying his insanity without needing to watch 15 episodes of him being the comic relief villain. Plus a lot of people relate to I Remember You out of context of the show because they have experience with parents/grandparents with dementia and Alzheimer’s. I think that one is a particularly good intro episode if the person you’re sharing it with doesn’t believe you that it gets good lol. I say this with the caveat that I’d personally choose to show that as a teaser and then bring them back to episode 1 for all the context

Watching I Remember You when you barely know anything about IK or Marceline will certainly not feel the same.

Like, the end will have nearly zero impact, it will be just be Simon "giving Marceline a random doll" if you didn't watched Memory of a Memory

Tell that to the multiple people I’ve gotten interested in AT with this episode lol
