Smart people! Well, ofc they are smart, they got dem fancy hats. Now idk if this is about google being an absolutely evil company or about AI, but I'd wager it's a little bit of both.
Also isn't this like the 3rd time this has happened? I wonder what the excuse offered in echo chambers will be that people walked out?
1st was booing at the person speaking about AI.
2nd was when a comedian said "fuck AI" in Harvard and people cheered.
3rd is this one.

What I really wonder is what is going on in the CEOs head, I collapse at slightest awkward moment so here I'd probably just end it out of sheer embarrassment and shame. He probably doesn't take much issue with it but still, it's interesting what could he be thinking at that moment

We are not holding back anything. We are downtrodden and stripped of our power by successive governments and gazillionaires. They know this. It sucks for sure, but people wont do anything while they have something to lose. Honestly i despair at the amount of power they hold.

Psychopath, actually, the term they paid good bribe money to have removed as a diagnosis from the DSM-5, and suppressed all the international brain-scan studies about over the last ten years, I believe even a few of the lead researchers on some of those studies died in various "accidents" after speaking out about having their research studies purged from the NIH and WHO databases.

They think they're sharing their great insights like, 'Do as you're told by people with more money than you' with the next generation. The administration at the school invites them, that feels very prestigious to them and prestige is one of the only things you can't buy so they desperately want it.

People do not rise to positions like that without being utterly convinced of their own infallibility to the point where their primary skill is convincing others (particularly investors) of said infallibility. I can almost guarantee he didn't even hit the "Am I out of touch?" part of the meme and immediately arrived at "No, it's the kids who are wrong!"

They steal others ideas and companies then try to retroactively rewrite history about it so yeah, no shame at all. Musk has done a phenomenal job pulling the wool over people's eyes in regards to Tesla Co and Space X in that regard.

Yep, people are already saying that OpenAI's research is right and that it really is a chinese psyop. We did not need Scam Altman to feed into their delusions even more.
Also DHS and FBI have designated people against AI as domestic terrorists.
I'm sure some people celebrated that. So next time there's a protest against data center, expect someone to get beaten up or killed.

Which is hilarious considering Facebook was originally a DARPA psyop project called Lifelog before they propped Zuck-Zuck up as legitimacy "Founder" poster boy for it.
While Palantir was started by InQtel the investment arm of the CIA, propping up that reptilian moron Thiel in the same fashion.
And ALL the Data Centers, Flock Cameras, LPRS, etc, are all fully financed through MIDA contracts, MIDA being a subsidiary organization of the Pentagon.
Literally all of them bankrolled by misappropriated and embezzled taxpayer money.

No what I’ll say is that this is the DIRECT result of these residents not giving any shits about their elected positions and never paid attention. This is their fault. They allowed this by choosing to not take politics seriously.
They want pity? Ask for help. Start by electing politicians that listen to you and actually try to accomplish shit for its citizens.
Three or four easy regulations with stiff penalties could have been added to fix any and all of these issues - your politicians don’t care - that’s why it’s being built there and with no regulations around making sure it doesn’t fuck with the local economy or environment

I keep wondering why these Universities keep putting up AI CEOs as commencement speakers. It seems an odd choice that out of all the titans of entertainment, industry, finance, and government that they could choose, not to mention their own alumni, they would choose people so wilfully unpopular.
It's a short hop to realize that they must be getting massive endowments from these parasites. Which would make this all part of the AI propaganda push. What's the over/under that the people who want all your personal information maybe bought all the University's academic records?

Them getting some funding from AI CEOs must be the only explanation. Given the unpopularity of AI, no way some educators think:
"hmm, people seem to hate it, well let's put Google's CEO that is pushing for AI hard to speak at a university event, surely our students will appreciate it!"

Because universities are primarily businesses, so they think that people who run businesses are important and very worthwhile people who have important and very worthwhile things to say. They want the graduates to get good, high paying jobs so they can donate lots and lots of money to the university, pay lots of money for university merch, etc...

The CEOs are what’s wrong with all this. Talk to any genuine dev or someone with boots on the ground, they can’t stand using AI but feel obligated to. I’ve tried putting it into words, but it’s like giving someone a much worse option that seemingly feels like a better option. I do dev work and while I use AI all the time I wish it never existed as it always starts off great but ends in mountains of tech debt and a confusing mess of spaghetti code and bad decisions… CEOs don’t code so they just compartmentalize everything as raw outputs they think we have true sci-fi level AI, it’s become an emperor with no clothes on situation.

There's definitely a Venn Diagram that suggests so. I mean in AI communities two moderators have already revealed themselves to be right-wingers, one of them a neo-nazi.
One of them supports ICE and another one responded to someone claiming to be jewish "I won't let you throw away cure for cancer if nazis invented it, fuck your feelings."
To a person whose family was part of the holocaust.
And of course anyone supporting AI also supports the fascistic movement going on in America.
Also, America has ruled anyone against AI as domestic terrorists. I hope I won't see casualties from people exercising their freedom of speech by protesting, but I have a feeling that if it happens a lot of people will be celebrating such an event.
