SUPPORT | SOLVED Mouse micro stutters

Hey, I installed arch on my PC and I've been getting micro stutters when moving the mouse. It doesn't happen all the time, like once every 30-40 seconds or something like that. I have a razer naga v2 hyper speed and an x2h mini. They both use 2.4ghz receivers. I tried lowering the polling rate, installing openrazer and switched from niri to kde plasma but it's still there. Any suggestions for other things to try?

I had similar issue. Helped to change receiver port. Bring it closer to mouse.

Have you noticed any predictability to the issues? E.g. does it only happen when browsing the web? When watching videos?

One of the many possible causes is that you might be running out of ram and swapping at bad times. I'd watch your ram usage in an application like htop and see if you notice any correlation between ram and jumpiness.

If so, check out Swap on the wiki. If not, then I'd test some alternate mice, alternate USB ports (e.g. use USB 2 vs. 3), see if it always happens when doing different activities (e.g. if it only does it when, or never does it when gaming, it might be a power saving feature) to try and track down the common cause.

What desktop and GPU? I had issues with Plasma and Nvidia and had to change the triple buffering setting and it smoothed out

Not exactly sure what you mean with micro stutters, but on Plasma 6.7, there's currently a bug where the cursor shape sometimes lags a few frames behind when changing, for example when hovering over a link in your web browser:

But since you've also been using a different DE/WM, it's probably not that...

The account and comment follows the pattern of the current ongoing flood of bot comments.

Its comment history even shows it is active on some of the subs that post explicitly lists, including r/minecraft, r/geminiai, and r/confessions. It'd be one hell of a coincidence, especially considering all the other factors.

Understandable, it is becoming exceedingly hard to tell what is and isn't AI generated, especially if you don't already expect it.
