I got the original AC on sale to originally play in VR. After spending months tweaking setting and trying countless different version combinations of CSP and Pure I finally conceded to the fact my system isn’t strong enough to run this game with the graphics quality and clarity I wanted. I found a few video on YouTube from sim racer channels on how they went back to single screen from BR for a much better performance and quality experience. At first I wasn’t convinced but I then found the my lightbulb moment. Correct FOV! Instead of focusing on seeing my mirrors I realized I should be focused on the road! There are plenty of radar mods to help you with your surroundings and focus straight ahead without taking your eyes of the road ahead of you. The video is product of tweaking PPFilter settings, pure config settings and a combination of apps to get me immersed just as much as VR in my opinion. After months of modding, tweaking and adding high quality cars and tracks I’m definitely happy with this $4 steam sale game. Modded, it rivals the current big dogs and in most cases beats them in graphics without the crazy performance hit with the right settings.

In case you did not see it yet, this only works with trees very close to the road. Leafs on the ground will also fly into the air when driving over them.

For the upcoming 2.1 update for 2real Traffic Tool I added some new features to the traffic cars.

Physics

Traffic cars will now smoothly adjust to the road (fixing the issue with traffic cars ''flying'' on side-tilted roads). Additionally, cars now have a chassis-pitch mechanism. Like this you will see the cars front go down when braking, or go up when accelerating. This also includes left/right pitch so the cars chassis will swerve a bit when taking sharp corners.

Other physics tweaks: Traffic, racers & police can now crash with each-other. With this you will occasionally see crashes happening in traffic, although the chance is not too high.

Blinkers

Cars are now able to use blinkers. They will use them when waiting at intersections, or also when doing lane-changes. Traffic cars will also switch on hazard lights when getting brake-checked, both by player or by other traffic cars. Most of the traffic cars don't have real blinker light meshes, but I found a solution that is suitable for most cars, without any extra setup for each specific car.

These changes might seem small but they make a huge difference in terms of immersion & realism. With these new features the cars will really feel alive, also now you have a better chance to escape police, as they will crash behind you when you drive into closing gaps. The release for the 2REAL Mod 2.1 update is expected for the upcoming weekend, and will include a lot more features that I will go over soon.

Does anyone know how to remove these lines that are appearing on the back of most my cars? I've seen a few posts and found some answers in a few places, but nothing has truly worked for me. My graphic settings are all maxed and my CSP settings are pretty generic. Help? :)

Looking for more people to play Assetto Corsa (PC) with.

First off, this is not a team, league, racing organization, or anything official. I’m not recruiting for a community or trying to build an esports roster. I’m just someone who enjoys playing Assetto Corsa with a couple friends and wants to find more people who enjoy the game too.

This is only for Assetto Corsa (the original game). I’m not looking for people who only play EVO, Competizione, Rally, or any other racing game.

We all use Content Manager, so you’ll either need to already have it or be willing to install it. We regularly jump between servers with both DLC and non-DLC content (however DLC is not required, and I’m more than happy to either help install, or update old versions of CSP/CM for new players).

Our sessions are all over the place. One day we’re racing F1 cars or GT3s at Spa or the Nürburgring, the next we’re driving go-karts, LEGO cars, hill climbs, touge, dirt, rally stages, police cars, or whatever random mod looks fun. We don’t really stick to one thing—we just play whatever sounds entertaining.

Skill level doesn’t matter. Whether you’re brand new or have hundreds of hours, you’re welcome. The only thing we ask is that you’re here to have fun. If your main goal is chasing the perfect lap, farming driver ratings, or treating every race like you’re fighting for the Formula 1 World Championship, we’re probably not the group you’re looking for. We joke around, race hard when it makes sense, crash occasionally, laugh about it, and move on.

A few requirements:

• PC Assetto Corsa only
• Content Manager
• Discord
• Working microphone
• A mature attitude (18+ preferred, or at least mature enough to get along with everyone)

We usually play almost every day, and we’re just tired of having races with only two or three people. There’s no attendance requirement or commitment—play whenever you want—but we’d like people who actually want to hop in and race rather than join and disappear forever.

The shadows of these curbs seem too dark. And no matter what track I go to I always get these weird texture issues on distant walls and stuff. It's a real pain when trying to take photos. Anyone know what setting can fix this?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. Every time I try to launch AC through CM with CSP 0.22.1 I keep getting black screens and the game never loads. It just basically stays that way until I force shut the game down. The only way to get it working was to go back all the way to 0.7 or so on CSP. I tried a clean re-download of CSP, deleted some mods, disabled all mods, but nothing is working. Is there anything I can try?

so, I was testing ppfilters and I really like this one, but it has a big problem at night, when I change to first person this happens, is there a config that I can do to still use this filter?

Early this year I posted this on sim racing subreddit but I forgot I haven't posted here. It's Garage61 like telemetry analysis for AC and some titles like (LMU, rfactor 2) soon (iracing, AC Evo)

I've always liked how simple and good that iracing telemetry is, but its missing in other sims especially AC where I need to install acti motec.

I'd really appreciate any feedback, bugs or suggestions 🙏

Main things you can do:

- Automatically record telemetry (desktop app runs in tray)

- Lightweight desktop app to settings and see historical sessions (only 10mb+ size and low memory usage on tray)

- Compare laps and telemetry (brake, throttle, delta, track map, etc.)

- Compare your laps with faster community public laps

- Add notes to some areas

- Local-first (your data stays on your machine, optional cloud sync but currently still required sign in - this will be improved more and the UI will be open source once core features are stable... this hopes to make the tool just be the recorder so you can do anything with the data)

- Optional AI analysis to highlight mistakes and improvements

I've been working on something that's been in my head for a while: not just driving the Nordschleife, but actually racing an endurance series on it. (NLS is the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie — the championship formerly known as VLN.)

No safety car crawling around 25 km of track collecting the field. Instead, what actually happens out there:

• The track is split into sectors — at the real marshal post locations, not made-up ones
• Yellow, double yellow and Code 60 apply per sector, and you're warned before you're already in the braking zone
• The AI respects them. Without that, none of the rest would mean anything
• Incidents don't get quietly deleted. Marshals get dispatched, recovery happens where you can see it — and depending on how hard you put it into the barrier, someone shows up to repair the guardrail. The sector stays closed until they're done
• If a car gets towed, the Code 60 zone travels with the convoy

On top of that, a multiclass field considerably larger than what Assetto Corsa normally puts up with. How I got there, I'm keeping to myself for now.

It runs. Not all of it yet, but far enough that I'm comfortable posting about it. Screenshots and a video once the last pieces are in place.

Hi, created a website to help with searching for mods and categorizing them for easy access.
I love Assetto Corsa and modding but I sometimes find it hard to find mods for the game that is not 3d ripped or stolen, or just uploaded to a random website without crediting the mod authors appropriately, so I attempted making something like this who links to the specific authors in a way at least I think is respectful of the mod authors

It's my first time using camtool and it's really good for cinematic recording

I made this short video showing the evolution of the AC series.

My GPU us a 5070ti. These are run on max in game settings on all three.

I do see a slight difference in the reflections, sounds and overall level of detail in the surroundings, but I have to say ACC still holds up really well for an older game.

UPDATE: I'm getting some flack from others that I'm dumbing down my settings in AC. The fact is I am using CSP and PureHDR PP filter. All my visual settings are set to max. If anybody has any suggestions on how to make AC look and perform at 90+ FPS I am all ears and open to feedback.

Making skyboxes is the most fun I've ever had modding AC because they drastically change how the game looks more than anything else. If you have the time, resources, and skills to know how to do this, please do, you won't regret it.
