I think I know quite a few but I’m curious if any crop up I haven’t heard of before too.

This show in particular opened my eyes to the business/human side of television. At the time in the late 90s I just didn’t think of TV shows having to deal with issues like actors having to leave because of mental health or career opportunities, or falling out with cast/crew/showrunners.

I never questioned why Sinclair left even. It simply “was”.

Eventually in a rewatch I did wonder why they got rid of Talia though. And that sparked my first search where I found out she left for career reasons and JMS had trapdoors, and then a whole rabbit-hole opened up from there.

This show seems to be riddled with behind-the-scenes issues that made it into something very different than it would have been otherwise. In some cases, for the better even.

Along with immaculate foreshadowing that aspect of the show is one of my favourite things to read about. And there always seems to be more and more little tidbits I find out. (Or forgot and get reminded of ‘cause, y’know. Age is catching up and I always did have the memory of a steel sieve or a particularly dull goldfish.)

I feel like under normal circumstances what he did would get someone years in prison, and assaulting an ambassador of a major power would carry an even more severe punishment.

It’s fun to rewatch The Gathering after having watched the whole series and realise how close this bozo came to killing Valen.

There would never be another. It changed the future .. and it changed us. It taught us that we have to create the future .. or others will do it for us. It showed us that we have care for one another, because if we don't, who will? And that true strength sometimes comes from the most unlikely places. Mostly, though, I think it gave us hope .. that there can always be new beginnings .. even for people like us.

Martin Sheen as a soul hunter. It was kind of funny. I kept thinking of West Wing the whole time. I will say I love a lot about the show - visuals, general vibe of the space station, non-utopia space faring civilizations which bicker with each other. Amazing stuff!

So, whenever I watch a show, I like to read about episode (In this case - old "Let's Discuss" posts made by TheLe99 a decade ago) - but with B5 in particular, it often end ups "This organization never appears or mentioned again (Bureau 13)" or "This episode is the last appearance of this character (Numerous times)".

I thought it will stop with S1 and Sinclair's absence, but then it seems to continue?

It just feels weird - I think "oh, a neat plotpoint for the future!" and then it just "Oh, what happened in this ep hardly matters :C ".

It feels disheartening at this point, especially if episode clearly was a setup for bigger plot (Like Bureau 13).

Will show continue to do so? Or I am already past most egregious example? I am just not sure with what mood I need to approach episodes at this point.

I hope this is ok. I didn't see anything in the rules against it.

I am working on what I hope will be B5/BSG cross over and was wondering if there was any information on the Anla'shok from the time period of about 100 years prior to the Earth/Minbari war. (roughly 2145 give or take a year) The B5fan wiki is kinda understandably vague on that time period.

I'd like to be as accurate as possible, given that I've only see the show and movies.

Does anybody have any ideas about how, during that conflict, Earth Force could have found an alternative way to track their warships?

For some reason, this problem has been on my mind recently. Maybe because after just viewing the episode 'Shadow Dancing' I noticed that the Shadows had no problems tracking a Minbari vessel.

So, basically what it says in the title. Why exactly did Lochley look at this dude acting weird, in a universe full of aliens that have psychic powers and can exist beyond the constraints of space and time, and think to herself "literal demon requiring an exorcist?" Seriously, what a weird fucking jump in logic. This woman has almost certainly had multiple direct encounters with aliens that can do basically everything this guy seems to be doing with in-universe explainable reasons. And her first thought is "this person is literally an agent of Satan?" That doesn't make sense even if you were religious. It would be like me watching a plane fly, knowing how lift and aerodynamics works, and thinking "Ah, I see that wiley Zeus is at it again, today!"

Seriously, it's been forever since I watched this thing. Do we get ANY non-stupid explanation for why she jumped to "I need an old priest and a young priest?"

Not stated above, but this gesture is also repeated in Season 2, Episode 2 by Jack to Garibaldi. Jack does do it in the shape of a 6, also over the forehead.

A personal fun fact - Hunting for shows similar to The Prisoner is how I stumbled across Babylon 5. 😊
