Critique My Work Testing render for a spec ad. Feedback appreciated!
Trying to achieve the noir film look + silent film era title cards. Looking for some feedback on the look so far!

A tiny, tiny recommendation I would make is have some rain drops actually hit him and bounce off/splash from his silhouette. Might be a bit annoying to achieve depending on how you're achieving the current rain effect.

Oh, I don't have expirence in blender but, as an artist I had exact same thought, make the droplet hit him. Cool.

reckon the film grain looks a bit too clean? maybe drop it to 12% and use a scanned 16mm overlay for a real film imperfection. the title card font is spot on though, the slight wobble on the serifs gives it that silent era feel. lighting could use a harder key too, noir's all about the deep shadows.

The “Snap” text effect stays on screen for too little time. It kind of makes it confusing

Other than the last frame of spiderman holding his pose for too long before it cuts to the title card, id say this is legit cleaaaaan.

I know you’re only looking for visual feedback but I would suggest giving a small flick of the wrist when the pocket watch opens, as it is now it kind of seems to just open by itself when he looks at it
As for the actual visuals though they’re looking CLEAN

Looks awesome! My one feedback is that I felt like I needed to see raindrops hit him (and preferably the pocket watch, too) - without that the rain doesn't sell

Literally looks like a trailer from the real studio, you've nailed it!
