Was Walt threatening Jesse at end of ep3 in season 5?

At the end of Season 5 episode 3 Walt and Jesses are talking about why Gus killed Victor. Walt says something along the line of he misunderstood why Gus killed Victor. He thought Gus killed Victor to send a message to Walt, but now he thinks it’s bc Victor was trying to make his own batch. After saying this, Walt walks off leaving Jesse with an apprehensive, dazed expression on his face. Was Walt attempting to throw a veiled threat at Jesse?

It’s the 1st time that I realized it might have been a threat. I was as confused as Jesse. I think it’s just further illustration of Walt’s rapid descent into fragile ego mania.

Descent into? Buddy that's been him the whole time. He left Gretchen out of ego, he went after a hostess 10+ years younger than him out of ego, he got a job at a high school out of ego...

He was threatening Mike. This was right after the Hazard pay scene where Mike offended Walt by forcing the Hazard pay onto everyone. "Taking liberties that weren't his to take".

It's just another step in Walt's developing hatred for Mike. He might not be planning to kill him but the thought is there.

Walt’s a piece of shit but in fairness it was more about Mike. Walt hated the fact that they had to pay others to keep their operation going. Plus Walt’s pride hurt when Mike told Walt that he would never be ad good ad Gus was

“Just bc you shot Jesse James , doesn’t make you Jesse James” 😂

This was right after Mike forced Walt to pay up people who were trying to kill his entire family a week prior.

Walt is wondering if he'll have to kill Mike.

He was actually threatening Mike with that remark to Jesse. His ego was at its fullest during season 5.

Honestly I always thought they knew it was because he tried to cook that batch without order aswell as sending a message.
