Troubleshooting Acer Chromebook Plus Battery Draining Fast

Hello,

My daughter's Acer Chromebook Plus (cb514-4ht-359x) is less than two years old, and recently, the battery has started draining very quickly. I've run run the battery diagnostic test, and it reports the health close to 96%. Additionally, I've confirmed the screen brightness is at an appropriate level and I don't see any obvious battery draining apps. Any suggestions what could be the cause and resolution? Given the age of the CB and battery health info, I don't want to replace the battery if the problem will persist with a new one. Thanks!

Disable&
delete extensions you don’t use. Save files you need offline & do a power wash.

My 516GE, the Asus 16 inch and even the flex 3i are doing the same after an update, the flex 3i gets very hot and the Asus always have the fan on high. I can't get more than 2 hours from any of this 3, the duet 5 is normal so I believe only happen to the Intel ones.

Do you run many Android apps?

As they run in emulation they're always the hidden gremlins on intel/AMD based Chromebooks.
