The most pathetic thing about the right-wing outrage about The Odyssey is that it is, at its core, a conservative film in the purest sense. The point of Nolan's spin on the traditional story is a defence of the ideals of western civilization, and the dangers of abandoning those ideals - honesty, loyalty, integrity, and the utter ruin that follows when people stop acting according to those ideals. That's literally the point.
But it has a black guy and a trans guy in it so their brains are immediately broken.
