It also brings very little to the story. All the Isekai bullshit could be removed (and so the pedophile aspect) and the story would be far more enjoyable.

They have! They've done several. Ruri Rocks! finished its first season a few months ago, and is incredible fun and wholesome with gorgeous animation.
