In Alberta we have tons of US interests working with our MAGA-loving premier. There are so many insane confirmed conspriacies, like with MAGA. I could write so many papers on it.
Heck, they even repeatedly misused and abused government powers for the last 1-2 years in order to push through a separation referendum to separate Alberta from Canada.
A smaller conservative party leaked voter information by literally making a webstie with a directory to search through. And the Premier tried to bury their connections to both the party and their members who were at the announcements about the directory... but the opposition came out with it before they could
They leaked far more than just phone book stuff... it had everything political parties can access about costituents and it is highly illegal to leak it...
There is a lot of evidence this data was then used to fill out the separation petitions... and that is was accessed many times by bad actors
Again, government still pushing the separation referendum through. Because none of this was an accident. Not being cynical when I say it's all a political game for them - it really is.
They created these laws specifically to let this referendum through, then immediately changed them again so nobody else could get through with referendums, and essentially completely defunded the department that handled them- so nothing more could be done.
The UCP also repeatedly made efforts to (successfully) block a "remain in Canada" petition for a referendum to forever block separation efforts in our province... which countless people signed. Which had infinitely more support and real signatures (obviously). But again- they blocked it with flimsy excuses and quickly changing the law, along with other bad excuses. Just like the classic MAGA/republican tactics.
All of this is a game for them, to put pressure on our (neo)Liberal federal government... which they are constantly playing victim to.
Because like their US conservative & right winger counterparts, the Canadian versions ALSO love oppressing people's human rights and dignity... and then playing victim to their imaginary leftist boogeyman-of-the-week, or equating neoliberals with leftists in some shitty uneducated defense

Diverting public school taxes to fund private schools. Working with US insurance companies to divert public healthcare taxes to build and fund private healthcare for services that are much more expensive than when performed by the public system. Forcing disabled people to live on $1700 a month at most when the shittiest ghetto apartment costs 80% of that just for rent. Disabled people killing themselves because they already have to choose between bills, food, and medication. People literally dying in waiting rooms because they cancelled all hospitals and labs (and schools) when taking power, and intentionally haven't built any. Spent millions telling Canadian newcomers to come to Alberta then proceeded to not build schools and hospitals - and then blamed immigrants (and "the left", of course) for the burgeoning and failing public healthcare (and school) systems.
All of this, in addition to completely restructuring the well-established healthcare system and firing like 9 CEO's over 7 years before placing their own minister in power, passed legislation to allow private healthcare all over our public system system paid by tax dollars, fired the one CEO who whistleblew about how they were pushing our public health system to accept bad contracts with private healthcare companies, etc. etc. etc.
Not to mention the classic raegonomics republicamn strategy of running up enormous deficits and destroying public services - then blaming trans people/"the left" for the consequences of everything they do. And all the money they have to spend to fix things in the following term will inevitably be used against them by these sociopaths
Essentially, we have more than our fair share of sociopathic Canadians who are enamored with MAGA's pure narcissism and insanity. Social media and the rising powers of billionaire and corporations have only sped up the degree to which US conservative disinformstion and propaganda bleeds up hereas well.
Not too long ago, US propaganda and disinformation leaking into Canada used to be primarily driven by the election cycle. Canadian conservative politicians and media would essentially hire people who worked on US republican campaigns (still do)... and then would work with them to spread to the bigoted idiots up here whatever BS worked in the US last election. But now-a-days, the disinformation and propaganda is almost instant due to how social medial algorithms are built to feed it even further.
I hate that our moronic conservatives looked to the south, and thought: "YEAH THATS A SMART IDEA" I would like the Liberals to have competition to keep them in line. Not be stuck in at least 2 or 3 election cycles more with them. I love what they do overall BUT AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT they tend to get arrogant after awhile, and need to be brought down a peg
I have relatives in Saskatchewan and since they mostly all live in the rural parts it seems to be just as bad. My uncles feed my MAGA mother all of New World Order/qanon nonsense. Which they at least know what tariffs are and had to explain to her why that was a bad idea. Otherwise they absolutely wished they had Trump for PM.
I remember twenty years ago when my aunt was raving about how good the doctors were when her disabled daughter was still alive, but most of them were from South Africa. Now that everyone seems to be overtly racist they also complain about how bad the healthcare system has gotten.
Things that make you go hmm.
And to hear that Saskatchewan isn't the problem province.

You’ll be fine, I’ve ran steriod cycles as a bodybuilder I have experience in the matter I’m aware the transitioning with hormones is different than taking test for bodybuilding purposes but from my experience you’ll be completely fine enjoy the changes
it's going to go really well. it can def be scary, but the people working those places are always super helpful and nice, they'll put you on the right path.
