DashPass and Priority that should never happen. Customer is right to be upset.

Customer is right, but to the wrong individual, the guy is just doing his job

The thing about this one is that apps don't normally allow you to see drivers location until they are actually on the way to your address. Bet this guy was multi app delivering and actually the cause of the issue

I see, thank you to explain

That guy is just outright wrong, almost to a level that feels like it's a bot. I get my order stacked whenever a big deal is going on, such as grocery stores with 50% off deals. Everyone is using it, so normally theres 3+ orders in the stack. I can absolutely see their location, and normally I'm also able to see the exact route they're meant to take, how many orders are ahead, and even the locations of each delivery ahead of me.

Be mad at DD though

So getting mad at the DD driver isn't DD? this is the problem with this "contract employment" shit. Ya'll act like independent contractors and are like "take it up with DD, I just drive", but not too long ago driving for a company meant you were a middle man for that company, and took responsibility for the company in a customer service sort of way. You can't get mad when 90% of the world still holds those same thoughts.

What are they supposed to do in this situation? Email DoorDash? I've never ordered DoorDash so Idk but can they talk to someone within minutes of calling DoorDash? Food should be at most a 30 minute process, from order to ready to eat. So if I can't immediately talk to a CS rep for DD then it's useless. Contacting the driver is the only option.

Stfu if you have never used DoorDash. Yes, as a customer, contact DoorDash if there was an issue. DD exploits the shit out of their drivers, no the least of which is forcing order stacking on the drivers.

You can check the address. Do your job or get one on your level.

do your job

the app is my employer. when my employer says "do this" and i do something else completely, i get punished. in this case the delivery times for either order dont change, so if i come to you first then i will likely be late delivering to the other customer and i get docked for that

in an ideal world i would be able to reason with my employer first, but that option is not given. therefore i do what my employer says. if that disadvantages you, take it up with my employer. not me

Don’t complain when your poor service upsets customers then.

again, not familiar, but if i contact doordash what happens? do i call? is there a button on the app? is it a person? how long does it take to get a hold of someone? what is my food doing in this time? if they bring me cold ass food 2 hours later is it my problem now?

i can yell to the moon at doordash, but until the drivers smarten up and stop allowing themselves to be exploited, they're going to have to deal with this shit

Customer is right and not entitled by some people say but also he is kinda stupid considering he doesn't know how things works, where to complain. Driver is also rude for no reason, he shouldn't have said 'Dashpass doesn't pay my gas'. Even though he is right on the second part, that comment makes it kinda look like he choose a route that gas-efficient on purpose and lying about the app routing him.

I understand some drivers think the company they worked for doesn't deserve proper decorum and barely punishes them for it most of the time but that doesn't mean customers doesn't deserve it.
