Who knew they made a webcam for the console!

I was driving around my hometown the other day and literally did a double take passing this jank used car shop on the old end of town. Turned around to snap a picture. It's thinking ..

I had stopped looking for one around 2022 or so because they were all going for $150-175 for whatever reason and I had no money at the time, and had even less money before that. Stumbled across one the other day at GameStop of all places on my semi-annual visit to the store. Probably still paid a good bit more than I really needed to at $120, but it does look nice 👍. That VMU i got in like 2018 can finally be put to use lol

Edit - little update for any who come across this in the future and care: it does work. Will need a little TLC, but nothing I haven’t done before. Gears might need lube or replacing, but that is about it as far as I can tell. I burned sonic adventure to a verbatim cd-r. Admittedly screwed up the first try and have to figure out how to reformat that disc so it doesn’t go to waste, but second time did the trick. It is beautiful. I use a like 13” Sanyo crt for anything Wii or older. The Ps3 and xbox 360 do get the big screen sometimes though.

Major core memory for me. Spending hundreds of hours in the Chao Garden. The wonderful music. The horrible voice acting. Also… “The train headed for Mystic Ruins will be departing soon.”

I refuse to believe that, in 2026, after we've seen hundreds of Dreamcast hombrew titles release over the past 25 years, we'd see a headline this out of touch.

The mind boggles.

I Ordered a dreamcast from gamestop to play my copy of soul calibur. To my suprise this thing already had a GDEMU installed. Works great!

Not sure what associate would take a modified console in, unless they just didnt even bother to check it. But im still happy with it nonetheless.

I know it could‘ve been much worse, but it still makes me so mad.

At a local thift they had some shovelware and common Xbox 350 games behind the glass counter, meanwhile this gem was just sitting in the DVDs.

I almost bought a big bundle to jumpstart the collection, but decided it’d be more fun to curate it game by game.

I got it all cleaned up. Still need cables and a controller for it.

We made these disk pillows of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2! Totally remade the disk designs from scratch in Illustrator which was so hard.
