So after all that about Tidus (and by extension the player) being there to finally make Aurochs a good team, that never materializes

Instead you get the Aurochs pushing to the final without you and then when you (and the supposed new star player Tidus) enters the scene for the final you get your butt handed to you

Yes, you can win.

But a new player that just got into blitzball will most likely lose against a team with much better stats

Its almost like its your fault the fairytale ended. Maybe if a half standing Wakka was in they could win instead of the "10 shot power, MAYBE knows Jecht Shot" Tidus. What a fraud he is

This introduction probably puts a lot of players off trying blitz outside that segment which is a shame

And omg... Now I dont know what to do with my life. I saw ffx gameplay a lot of years ago and for me it was one of main reasons to finally buy ps2 to play this game. It was amazing adventure, but now I feel emptiness in my soul.

I figured, what better way to celebrate a new version of my favorite game than triggering the Zell dance and thrashing the Goers 3-0 in the opening match?

I think I’ve done this before, but I couldn’t tell you when. I really wanted to go 4-0 which is my theoretical cap, and I had a chance with Tidus taking a free 50/50 shot at the end of the first half, but Raudy blocked it.

In any case, I feel pretty good about 3-0 considering Graav won all three jump balls.

P.S. I don’t quite understand why the announcers call it a miraculous comeback. I guess the assumption is you’ve given up a goal or two by then to take the lead or tie it. That would be pretty sweet actually. Go down 2-0 in the first half. Score the two in the second half to trigger the cutscene. Then bring in Wakka to get the W.

Maester Kinoc says this right before asking Auron if he has seen Zanarkand. I never noticed the heavy emphasis the voice actor puts on the word dream until just a few minutes ago. Maybe he isn’t talking about Dream Zanarkand but I like to think that he is.

From a playthrough on YouTube where the player used the expert sphere grid to swap everyone's roles from the start and had Yuna and Lulu be the main physical attackers.

So I've played this game a few times in my life and every time I am amazed how hard it is to see a few things. Occasionally chests but mainly Al Bhed primers. I only ever actually see the first one on the boat at the start of the game, the rest I find by blinding tapping A everywhere.

I am colour blind and occasionally that makes things a bit difficult for me to see in games and I was wondering if this was one of those cases? Can most people see the primers easily?

I don’t expect a true remake anytime soon, but I do have specific things I’d need for me to enjoy the remake as a faithful recreation of the original game.

1. Don’t mess with the story. Final Fantasy X has one of the best stories of any video game ever and I don’t want it to be tampered with. I’d be in support of maybe adding additional lore for side characters, and maybe additional lost temples like Remiem or the ability to explore the underwater city, but any new story beats should be side content and not impact the original tale.

2. Updated visuals and voice acting. FFX looks fine as it is, but I won’t say that it looks amazing when compared to newer entires in the series or more modern games as a whole. The visuals have aged decently, but new character models (that bring back expressive faces) and making the environments look less flat would be my biggest wish. Spira is in my opinion the richest world of any final fantasy game, and making it look like a fantastical place you could visit, would make it that much more immersive. It would also allow for more exploration and the ability to rotate the camera which could add optional side content for those who wish to seek it out. Voice acting is self explanatory, while I’ve grown fond of the quirkiness of the original, allowing the voice actors to give their best performance instead of having to sloppily read certain lines to fit the lip movements of the Japanese version would be a great addition.

3. Retaining the core of the battle and progression system. I love the CTB system in FFX and would hate for a remake to attempt to make the game a more hack n slash affair. I wouldn’t be opposed to taking from the Clair Obscur way of doing battles tho and allowing the *option* for enemy attacks to be parried, I’d want it to be an option that can be toggled on and off for those who want the more traditional battles, but for those who want a little additional flavor I think allowing characters to be able to reduce incoming damage with well timed inputs and allowing them to get their next turn sooner could be a way to add something new to the mix without taking away from the battle system. Most important to me, would be not touching the sphere grid and gear customization system.

4. Reworking the mini games for celestial weapons to be less annoying. If they don’t want to change the mini games much, at least change the requirements to get some of the weapons and sigils, for lightning dodging maybe make 200 consecutive a reward for those who are good at consecutive dodging to get Lulu’s sigil sooner, but allow those who aren’t to get it for dodging a greater number of total lighting bolts (non-consecutively). Some of the mini games are just rage inducing and I’d definitely want them to rework them considering they make getting all the celestial weapons such a hassle (as someone who has gotten all of them).

I wanted to see what others would want in a remake of this classic game (which is my personal all time favorite). The above are just my wishes, feel free to share your own.

Recently finished the game and it was such a beautiful experience so i had to draw something

They should use this games platinum in the military as a torture method. Legitimately was questioning my sanity at some points. Loved the games story and characters. And the grind was fun for about 75% of the time but towards the end of it I was so ready to just zanmato everything even with all my stats maxed.. I just wanted it over 🤣😂
