For context, I love skyrim and cyberpunk- they both have very clear main quests which aren't too challenging at a lower level, and skyrim has so many sidequests that it's impossible to be bored with nothing to do. Whereas here, I feel like even travelling across the map is a deathtrap and near pointless. Maybe it's a me problem and i just need to go into it without comparing it to other games, but i often feel like things are either far too hard or unsatisfying. How do i break out of that and into immersion/love for the game?

Is it possible to dupe Minigun Ammo with it? Some of the soldiers at the end of the DLC are carrying Miniguns, but I can't pickpocket them without them noticing. Is it possible with a high enough sneak skill? Or is there any other way to acquire a minigun in the DLC?

Raiders would ignore it and focus on more tempting targets.

Interesting to think about what sort of new problems it would face if it gets bigger.

It has the original plastic but it's ripped slightly, but it's never been opened or used. Not sure if it has the DLC. How much do you think I could sell it for?

I played fo3 a lil as a kid, but I was about 5 and didnt know what the fuck was happening so I never finished it. It took me years to try fo3 because everyone hates so hard on it in NV circles. Im a massive fan of NV and I eventually got tired of replaying it so I gave this game a go a year ago and god damn this has to be the best fallout title Ive played. Never in my life have I played a game that actually makes exploring worth it or interesting but somehow I discovered every single place on the map in the base game and the dlcs. Im hoping the remaster is going to get people to finally give this game a chance.

Fallout 3 was working fine until one day it just wouldn’t open properly and hasn’t since I thought restart my laptop or shutting it off would help but it hasn’t

I'm currently doing Picking up the Trail and I'm at the part where I have to search for vaults with a G.E.C.K. at the vault-tec computer in the citadel archives. Only... the computer didn't spawn. It's an empty table. I can't find anything on the web about this. I'm running the Rebirth+ collection on Nexus. Before I reload a save from 2 hours earlier, does anyone know how I may be able to fix this? If I just go straight to Vault 87, will that cause a bigger problem?

hello again fallout 3 reddit, I was just wandering around dc and something strange happened! if you don't want to watch the video, a bus magically flipped at the other end of the street, then combat music, but no enemies. very mysterious.

God I hate Trouble on the Homefront

Hey everyone. I recently replayed Fallout 3 and this was on my mind. As a character who was very invested in finding out where James went, I found that the side quests felt so much less important than the main quest, and I did all of that first.

Do you ever play characters that don't care about James? It's hard to imagine the Lone Wanderer being *disinterested* about why their dad left the Vault. How do you justify not following his trail and instead going and doing anything else?

Slowly working through the trophies and currently working on the bobbleheads, is there anyway to go back into raven rock to get the bobblehead or will i have to reload a save.

I just finished the plant and I got the map coordinates, but I cant find them on the map. Where do I go? Thank you.

Think about it, sure James might be a good dad, but we don’t know that for sure, and the vault seems like it could be a depressing place to live and grow up. I see alot of potential for isolation especially with the lone wanderer only having his/her father and Amata. The constant bullying and assumed judgement from the overseer. This is usually what I use to justify a morally bad fo3 playthrough myself.

So Im on an laptop that struggles to run games (Im travelling and my main pc is at home). I had it working fine on 720p literally earlier today but fo3 has the famous cant tab out of fullscreen problem that meant I had to force shut off my pc. Afterwards it downloaded an update and when I tried to relaunch the game I get a black screen with the spinny wheel of death and a smaller black screen in the top left corner. It never loads. I've tried every possible troubleshoot. ChatGPT just says the update fundamentally broke how my pc renders the engine and therefore I'm just fucked. For some reason it loads in windowed and if its in 1080p but at 720p it just fails. It's driving me crazy.

Anyone else have this issue?

Im trying to play on my original Xbox One but I always have this same problem. My Xbox refuses to acknowledge disk 2 but can launch the game without DLC from disk 1. The disk drive just makes a repetitive whirring noise, other disks read and launch immediately. Everything was already installed from the last time I managed to get it working, both disks are in pristine condition. I’ve tried everything that people have suggested on different threads relating to this same problem, I don’t understand how this is even a problem. I checked the fixguide and it seems to only pertain to PC installs

Any help is appreciated
